Real Madrid could see Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr return to action after he missed out against Atletico Madrid through illness. Arda Guler has suffered an injury setback in training and is set to miss another three weeks. Dani Carvajal is likely to miss out on Wednesday as he looks to return to full fitness. Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao remain the two long-term absentees for Carlo Ancelotti.

That win did come in their last encounter, a 1-0 home victory over Granada. However, they are yet to win or even score a goal away from home and they are about to head to one of the toughest grounds in the league to try and change that. And with Real Madrid looking for a response after their surprising defeat, you have to back them to win this one comfortably.

The hosts have won all their home games across all competitions this term (three), but we are yet to see them turn in a ruthless display in front of goal. There will be a demand for such a performance against Las Palmas so that the players can put their fans’ minds at rest amidst any doubt caused by their recent loss.

Real Madrid have a handful of players who are already off the mark this season. Jude Bellingham may lead the way by some distance but Joselu, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr and Rodyrgo have all been on the scoresheet this season, and a clinical evening in front of goal could help this team ascend to another level.

It will be tough, given that Las Palmas have the joint-best defensive record in La Liga. However, the quality that Real Madrid have in comparison to their squad is far superior, and on home soil, they really should be able to come up with a couple of goals.
