Inter Milan will look to go top of Group D when they travel to Austria, to take on RB Salzburg at the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night (20:00).

Salzburg have picked up three points from their opening three games, while the Italian side are currently level on points with group leaders Real Sociedad. The two teams met at the San Siro a fortnight ago on matchday three, with Inter claiming a 2-1 victory.

RB Salzburg vs Inter Milan Prediction

  • Correct Score - Inter Milan 2-0 @ 7/1
  • Lautaro Martinez to score anytime @ 21/20

Team News

Salzburg have a stacked injury list and will be without Bryan Okoh, Justin Omoregie, Lukas Wallner, Fernando, Kamil Piatkowski, Aleksa Terzic, Dijon Kameri and Maurits Kjaergaard, due to injury.

As for Inter, Benjamin Pavard was forced off in the first half of last weekend's win at Atalanta with a knee injury and will join Marko Arnautovic and Juan Cuadrado on the treatment table.

Match Odds

Inter are favourites to claim the three points at 8/15, while Salzburg are 9/2 to pick up their second win of the campaign. The draw can be backed at 11/4, while over 2.5 goals is priced up at 4/6.

Correct Score - Inter Milan 2-0 @ 7/1

With Inter's outright price being so short, I've opted for a correct score prediction for some extra value.

The Italian giants  have won six of their last seven games, including their last four, and they've scored twice or more in four of their last five games. They meet a Salzburg side here, who have conceded twice in their last two games in this group.

In fact, the hosts have shipped two or more in four of their last five Champions League games, so I think backing a 2-0 win for Inter is a decent pick here.

Lautaro Martinez to score anytime @ 21/20

The Argentinian striker has been prolific for I Nerazzurri this season, scoring 13 times in 14 appearances across all competitions.

Inter's no.10 scored in the opening group game against Real Sociedad, but has since fired blanks in his previous two appearances in the Champions League.

The 26-year-old found the back of the net in Inter's warm up game for the trip to Austria - a 2-1 triumph over Atalanta - so I'm backing him to get on the scoresheet here.
