Bayern Munich can secure the Bundesliga title on Saturday (14:30, Sky Sports Mix) when they face RB Leipzig at Red Bull Arena. The league leaders know a victory will get the job done, while a point would hypothetically do the job because they have a +30 advantage on goal difference over Bayer Leverkusen in second.

Vincent Kompany's side were 3-0 winners at home to Mainz 05 last Saturday and they come up against a Leipzig outfit that were thrashed 4-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt last time out. Read on for my RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

RB Leipzig will be without the services of El Chadaille Bitshiabu due to the red card he collected in the 4-0 drubbing to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend.

Interim head coach Zsolt Low will be forced into one change on Saturday, so David Raum could be called in to play as the left wing-back, with Castello Lukeba dropping into the left side of the back three.

Benjamin Henrichs, Willi Orban, Xaver Schlager and Peter Gulacsi remain injured for the hosts.

Jamal Musiala (hamstring), Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies (both knee) and Hiroki Ito (foot) are all out injured for Bayern, while Manuel Neuer (calf) doesn't appear to be any closer to returning to the matchday squad.

Jonas Urbig is expected to continue between the sticks and in the win over Mainz 05, he was shielded by a back four of Josip Stanisic, Kim Min-jae, Eric Dier and Konrad Laimer.

Dier appears to be edging towards the exit door in Munich, however as reports this week have suggested he may be set for a summer move to Monaco.

Top scorer Harry Kane will miss the game after his yellow card from the last game has triggered a suspension, which he was not happy about.

Veteran Thomas Muller, who's leaving Die Roten at the end of the season, might be drafted in to deputise for the England international - which would be very fitting as it's the game Bayern can seal the title and it would be his 13th with the club.

RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich Odds

Lepzig have won two of their last four home games in the league and they are 100/30 to spoil Bayern's party on Saturday.

Two of Bayern's past six outings in the Bundesliga have ended in a stalemate, and the draw is available at 7/2.

The visitors are the 4/6 (which has an implied probability of 60%) favourites here, given they have won four of their previous five contests in the top flight.

Over 3.5 goals has been a winning selection in four of Bayern's last five matches in the league and it is marketed at 10/11 on this occasion.

Bayern Munich and over 2.5 goals @ 21/20

After a disappointing season, by their very high standards, in 2023/24, Bayern have responded brilliantly this term and Kompany has done a fine job in his first year in charge a club with such pressures that Die Roten have.

The visitors are eight points clear at the summit with three games left to play, and a win here would see them reclaim the league title from Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern's form has been strong throughout the campaign, with just two defeats all season.

The latest was a surprising defeat at home to bottom-of-the-table VfL Bochum on March 8 and that was a bit of a wake-up call for the league leaders ahead of the final stretch. The players have responded as they are six games unbeaten in the league since, posting four wins in the process.

With the league title in their grasp, I am expecting Bayern to put on a show in Leipzig and they could end up running riot after the hosts were humbled 4-0 last week. It's also worth noting that Bayern were 5-1 victors when the two teams met at the Allianz Arena back in December.

Bayern and over 2.5 goals has been a successful bet in each of their previous 11 victories in the Bundesliga, and I think this trend will continue on Saturday.

Leroy Sane anytime goalscorer @ 6/4

In Kane's absence, Bayern's other attacking stars will have some added responsibility at the weekend and for some of the reasons I gave in my last selection, I think the visitors could have a field day against RB Leipzig.

One player I fancy to get on the scoresheet is Leroy Sane because he has been in excellent form in recent weeks, considering he hasn't always been guaranteed a starting place in the team this term.

The Germany international grabbed his 10th league goal of the campaign in the Mainz victory last time out, and it was his fourth in his previous seven appearances in the top flight.

The winger has already tormented the hosts this season, scoring in the 5-1 reverse fixture back in December, and I fancy him to have the same kind of impact at the Red Bull Arena.
