Rangers vs Hearts Prediction: Another SCORE DRAW in store for Rangers?

The Scottish Premiership returns with an exciting five-match programme on Saturday with four games in the traditional 3PM slot and one evening match on Premier Sports 1.
Having secured followers a solid profit during the international break, Betfred’s Scottish football writer Frank Monkhouse aims for more wins at Ibrox as he gives us his Rangers vs Hearts Predictions for Saturday's clash...

After watching Steve Clarke’s Tartan Army claim four World Cup qualifying points from a possible six, we refocus our attentions on the Premiership.
What a match we have in store at Ibrox as Russel Martin’s misfiring Rangers host a Hearts team led by Derek McInnes, who are unbeaten in four and sit joint-top of the league with Celtic.
A win in Govan would send the Jambos clear at the summit, at least until Celtic visit Rugby Park on Sunday. The locals are without a victory so far, taking a point from each of their opening four starts, including a goalless Old Firm derby last time.
Rangers won 1-0 when Hearts were last in town, and everyone in blue would gladly accept a repeat, given how dangerous their opponents are looking this summer.
Rangers vs Hearts Predicted Lineups:
- Rangers: Butland, Tavernier, Souttar, Djiga, Meghoma, Cameron, Diomande, Raskin, Moore, Gassama, Miovski
- Hearts: Clark, Steinwender, Halkett, Findlay, Milne, McEntee, Devlin, Baningime, Braga, Shankland, Kyziridis
Match Result Odds:
Despite Martin’s new-look Rangers team being winless in the Premiership and starting in the bottom half of the division, Betfred traders have the locals chalked up as an odds-on favourite.
The Gers enjoy home advantage, but have scored just three goals and conceded the same number in their first four league starts. So much for the attacking football promised by the new boss on arrival. The home win is available at 8/11, and I don’t expect that offer to attract too much attention this week.
Hearts have played four, won three and drawn the spare. The ten points on the board mean the Jambos already have six more than their hosts. They’ve scored ten and conceded six, hinting at another high-scoring afternoon when Hearts visit Glasgow from Edinburgh.
The away win is available at 16/5 on the Betfred app and site. Fancy another frustrating draw for Rangers? You can sit on the fence and try the level finish at 11/4, which is bigger than I expected to find, given the Gers’ recent results.

Rangers vs Hearts Stats
- Both Rangers and Hearts are at 75% for BTTS this season (3/4)
- Rangers have drawn every Scottish Premiership match so far this season.
- Rangers are yet to record a game over 2.5 goals. Hearts are at 75%.
- The hosts are going for their fifth straight 1-1 draw.
Both Teams to Score
Ibrox will be packed to capacity on Saturday afternoon. The home fans will turn out in force, hoping to see their favourites finally click into gear and start producing the free-flowing football promised by the underfire manager.
The Hearts loyal trek to Glasgow, eager to see the Jambos win and announce themselves as genuine title contenders this season.
There’s all to play for here and there will be an electric atmosphere inside the spectacular Govan sporting arena. The head-to-head stats show both teams scored when the rivals last met, with Rangers winning 3-1 at Tynecastle earlier this year.
A bet on both clubs finding the net would’ve landed you a profit in half of the last four. It was also a winner in six of the Gers’ nine games played in all competitions last month, and in three of five at Ibrox.

Match Result - Draw
Encouraged by two winners from two picks in Scotland’s win over Belarus on Monday, we aim for a bet with more attractive odds attached. Regular readers of my previews know I place a lot of trust in the trends, and there’s a solid line here that’s just too good to miss.
After analysing the form of both clubs so far this season, we’re backing a draw. The odds offered are good enough to follow as a single bet or add to small multiples.
Backing the draw would’ve ensured a profit in each of the home team’s four Premiership starts. Rangers conceded late to draw with Motherwell at Fir Park in the league opener. They then fought back from a goal down to share with Dundee at Ibrox, rescued a late point in Paisley, and played a goalless draw in one of the dullest Old Firm derbies in years.
Hearts needed late goals to beat Dundee United, draw with St Mirren and Motherwell, before a 91st-minute winner at Livingston last time.
The draw makes perfect sense here.
