Second-placed Rangers host fourth-placed Aberdeen at Ibrox on Wednesday in what’s sure to be another enthralling 90 minutes.
These sides last met at Pittodrie back in October, when the Dons struck late to upset the odds and bag a shock 2-1 home win. Rangers are out for revenge and aim to continue a five-match unbeaten run, consisting of three draws and two victories, including a comfortable win over St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon.
Aberdeen may have taken the bragging rights when they last faced off against Philippe Clement’s team, but they’ve done little of note since. The visitors arrive in Glasgow stuck on an extended winless run, with their last six league starts showing five defeats and a draw. They have dropped to fourth in the pecking order and could slip out of the top six if things don’t improve fast.

Despite failing to win nine of their 22 league games this season, Rangers kick off as the betting favourites on Wednesday evening. Betfred traders have the locals at 2/7 to secure a 14th win in 23 games, giving their fans something to cheer.
Gers battled to a 2-1 win when last hosting the Dons, and they’re likely to appear in a fair share of midweek accumulators but must be at their best to get the desired result.
Aberdeen fans watched in horror as their side tumbled from joint top of the Premiership with Celtic to fourth in the division, 24 points off the pace set by the defending champions.
The away team are low on confidence, but they did finally halt a long run of defeats by battling to a goalless draw at home to Hearts at the weekend. Another level finish is 5/1, and that’s sure to attract attention, certainly more so than the away win at a hefty 10/1.
Both score and Rangers win
We aim for two winners at decent odds at Ibrox and open with a bet on both teams to score in a Rangers win. The stats show both teams found the net at least once in each of their last two meetings, when the side playing at home won by a 2-1 scoreline.
Both also scored in four of the previous five, and we hope for more of the same in this renewal. The Gers and Dons have plenty of flair in attack but remain weak at the back.
Taking a closer look at the numbers to add weight to our pick, playing both teams to score in a Rangers win returned a handsome profit in four of the last six meetings at Ibrox, including the most recent game when goals from Rabbi Matondo and Todd Cantwell won the day.
Follow the form and back Aberdeen to score, but suffer an eighth defeat of the term. The 6/4 quote is good enough to back as a single.

Hamza Igamane to score first
Moving to our second bet at Ibrox on Wednesday evening, we’re pushing for a better price when backing Hamza Igamane to score the contest's opening goal. The young Moroccan has been the standout performer for Gers recently, scoring four goals in his last three games. Rangers will be desperate to keep hold of him in January.
Igamane netted a hat trick when Rangers drew 3-3 with Hibs in the capital and added another on Sunday when his side beat St Johnstone 3-1.
Digging deeper, we note Hamza has scored 11 goals in 13 games, and we trust him to break the deadlock in midweek. Take Igamane to score first at 7/2 and enjoy the show.
