After a dismal time with Gareth Ainsworth in charge, Queens Park Rangers fans are in dreamland under the stewardship of Marti Cifuentes. The Spaniard has led the West London side to three successive wins and they are now just two points away from 21st-placed Huddersfield Town, who occupy the final survival spot in the Championship.

The Hoops face Plymouth Argyle next at Loftus Road on Wednesday evening (KO, 19:45), with the visitors still yet to win on the road this season.

Below we have previewed the game and picked out a couple of the best markets to consider.

QPR vs Plymouth Betting Tips:

  • QPR to win @ 19/20
  • Chris Willock to score anytime @ 5/2

Team News

The games come quick and fast in the Championship but the extra day's rest afforded to those playing on Wednesday - rather than Tuesday - could see changes kept to a minimum  for the home side, who look to have found the winning formula under Cifuentes.

If there is to be a change in the starting XI, veteran defender Steve Cook looks the most likely to make way for Irishman Jimmy Dunne. Jack Colback could also return to the squad if he overcomes the knock which prevented him from playing on Saturday.

The visitors are more likely to switch it up, following their 4-0 defeat to Leicester City on Saturday. On-loan Wolves midfielder Luke Cundle - who has three goals and five assists in the Championship - should return to the starting XI alongside Aston Villa's Kaine Kesler Hayden and Bali Mumba.

Match Odds

QPR are 19/20 to record a fourth consecutive victory, with Plymouth outsiders for the win at 5/2. The draw is available at 13/5.

Meanwhile, both teams to score can be found at 4/6, with over 2.5 goals at 8/11.

QPR to win @ 19/20

QPR are riding the crest of a wave at the moment, with the Hoops now on a two-game winning run at Loftus Road after previously failing to pick up three points there since March 11.

Their confidence should be further boosted by the visit of the Pilgrims, who have lost seven and drawn three of their 10 away games this season. A hammering at the King Power Stadium on Saturday was their third defeat on the bounce away from home, and it's only their strong efforts at Home Park keeping them above QPR and out of the relegation zone.

This is a great opportunity for QPR to draw level on points with a team that seemed so far away before the arrival of Cifuentes. With Loftus Road sure to be bouncing on Wednesday, I think they can add to the Pilgrims' away woes.

Chris Willock to score anytime @ 5/2

The Arsenal academy graduate has struggled with fitness issues over the last 18 months, and he made a slow start to the season, but a goal in each of his last three games has really put the 25-year-old back on the map.

Willock is yet to start three game in a row this term, so it remains to be seen whether he will be handed a starting berth again on Wednesday, but if he does, 5/2 looks good value for him to make it four in four.

Those goals have put him level with Lyndon Dykes and Kenneth Paal as QPR's highest scorers in the division, and he should be fancying his chances of netting past a side that has shipped 19 goals on the road - only Rotherham United (25), Norwich City (24) and Middlesbrough (22) have conceded more on their travels.
