Psv vs juventus predictions betting tips uefa champions league wednesday february 19 2025

Goals from Weston McKennie and Samuel Mbangula - either side of an equaliser from Ivan Perisic - saw Juventus emerge 2-1 winners from the first leg of their Uefa Champions League knockout phase play-off tie with PSV Eindhoven at Allianz Stadium in Turin last Tuesday.

The Italian giants head to the Philips Stadion on Wednesday (20:00, TNT Sports 3) with a lead to defend, knowing anything other than a defeat will guarantee a last-16 berth. Below are my PSV vs Juventus predictions, complete with all the latest team news and match odds.

PSV vs Juventus Betting Tips

Team News

Ricardo Pepi, Fode Fofana, Sergino Dest (all knee), Olivier Boscagli (muscle), Malik Tillman (ankle) and Rick Karsdorp (unspecified) have been ruled out through injury for the hosts, who made two changes to the starting XI in the first leg against Juventus for Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Utrecht in the Eredivisie.

Midfielder Ismael Saibari and winger Noa Lang dropped down to the bench with Guus Til and Johan Bakayoko taking their respective spots; it remains to be seen whether head coach Peter Bosz will revert to the starting XI that lined up against the Old Lady in Turin.

Football Odds

Long-term absentees Juan Cabal, Arkadiusz Milik and Bremer all remain sidelined for the visitors with knee injuries, while Pierre Kalulu is still unavailable due to a thigh issue.

Douglas Luiz (thigh) missed Juve's 1-0 win over Inter in Sunday's Derby d'Italia and is a doubt for Wednesday's game.

Fit-again full-back Andrea Cambiaso, Lloyd Kelly, Manuel Locatelli and Kenan Yildiz all started as substitutes on the weekend but the quartet are in contention to make the starting XI in Eindhoven.

Dusan Vlahovic hasn't started since January 29, failing to receive a single minute in two of Juve's last three matches, as the Serbian striker continues to play second fiddle to PSG loanee Randal Kolo Muani.

PSV vs Juventus Odds

PSV are winless in their last three games but are 13/10 favourites to triumph in regulation time on Wednesday, implying a 43.5% probability of success, while Juve are 2/1, or a 33.3% chance, to do the double over their Dutch counterparts.

The draw, which would send Juve through to the last 16, is available at 11/4, with PSV 2/1 to win the tie by any means.

Both teams to score is priced at 4/7, and over 2.5 total goals at 8/11.

PSV centre-forward Luuk de Jong (8/5) heads the anytime goalscorer market followed by Vlahovic (9/5) and Kolo Muani (15/8).

Away Team Red Card Yes/No - Yes @ 13/2

Remarkably, a red card was shown in three of PSV's four league phase matches at home, and all three went in the direction of the visitors. In the Dutch side's second game, a 4-0 victory over Girona, Arnau Martinez was sent off for two bookable offences, before Shakhtar Donetsk's Pedro Henrique received his marching orders for a straight red in a 3-2 defeat for the Ukrainians. Then, in PSV's final league phase outing, Liverpool youngster Amara Nallo was dismissed for a last-man foul.

Juventus, meanwhile, started their campaign with back-to-back reds as first, Michele Di Gregorio was ordered from the field for handling outside his penalty area in a 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig, and his straight red was followed by Danilo's dismissal for two yellows in his side's 1-0 defeat to Stuttgart.

With Juve taking a lead to Eindhoven, the Italian giants are expected to be under serious pressure from the get-go on Wednesday, and if they are successful in keeping out the hosts for a significant period, tiredness could start to set in, and their desperation to reach the last 16 may start to show.

Timewasting, professional fouls, dissent - we could see the full works on Wednesday as Juve plot a way past PSV by any means.

Home Team Total Corners Over/Under +7.5 - Over 7.5 @ 7/4

The onus will be on PSV to attack on Wednesday given they are a goal down in this tie and at home. Juventus, on the other hand, may be happy to sit back and soak up the pressure, knowing that their real strength lies in defence, as highlighted by the three clean sheets they have kept in their last five Champions League games.

The Old Lady have held Aston Villa and Club Brugge to goalless draws in their last two European outings away from Turin and only leaders Napoli (19) have conceded fewer goals than their tally of 21 in Serie A this season.

PSV, meanwhile, were on the front foot in all four league phase matches at home, enjoying the greater share of possession against Sporting, Girona, Shakhtar and Liverpool, scoring 11 goals and taking 27 corners across those four games.

All 27 corners were won in their last three - seven v Girona, 12 v Shakhtar, eight v Liverpool - and I think we could see another high corner count on Wednesday unless PSV equalise and or/take the lead in this tie.

Juve have conceded nine corners in each of their last two away games, a 2-1 win at Como on February 7 and a defeat by the same scoreline at Napoli on January 25, and we could see them give up a similar number in Eindhoven as the hosts desperately try and claim victory.
