The Champions League returns on Tuesday night and Arsenal will be keeping half an eye on how PSV get on, when they face Sevilla in Group B. The Gunners currently sit top of that group but both PSV and Sevilla have serious aspirations of qualifying from this group.

PSV vs Sevilla Tips:

  • BTTS Yes and Draw at 7/2
  • Luuk De Jong to score anytime at 13/8

BTTS Yes and Draw at 7/2

These sides had rather different experiences in gameweek one. PSV were handed a footballing lesson by Arsenal, as they fell to a 4-0 defeat at the Emirates but that result won’t define their campaign. The Gunners are one of the finest teams in the competition and should win this group fairly comfortably, leaving the other three teams to battle it out for second spot.

Meanwhile, Sevilla drew 1-1 with Lens, having the better of a game they would have hoped to have won. Since then, they’ve drawn with Osasuna, thumped Almeria 5-1 and lost 1-0 to title contenders Barcelona. Manager José Luis Mendilibar is still finding his feet at the club – remember Sevilla finished 14th in La Liga last term, and only made it to the Champions League by winning the Europa League (again).

These two sides are tough to split, but they both have obvious attacking qualities. Youssef En-Nesyri is a top striker while PSV have been banging in the goals domestically. I can’t separate these two on paper, so a score draw seems like the most likely outcome.

Luuk De Jong to score anytime at 13/8

He might not be the most fashionable number nine around, but De Jong is clinical in the Eredivisie. He’s already scored six goals and bagged four assists in the league this term, and he is part of a free-scoring team at this moment in time.

In their last five games in the league they’ve scored a whopping 18 goals, and while they were battered by Arsenal they should find life slightly easier against Sevilla on home soil. De Jong has the ability to lead the line and should be the man to find the net, if PSV continue their good run of form.
