Team News

The notable change will come in goal for PSG as Gianluigi Donnarumma has confirmed that he will be leaving the club, and has subsequently been left out of the travelling squad. Lille shotstopper Lucas Chevalier was recently signed by the French champions, and looks likely to be the Italian's replacement between the sticks.

Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez both missed the Club World Cup final due to suspension last month and will return here, however, Joao Neves was dismissed in the final few minutes of the game, and has been banned for two matches by Fifa as a result.

PSG vs Tottenham Hotspur Stats

  • PSG won by two clear goals in five of their seven matches at the Fifa Club World Cup
  • Eleven of the last 12 Uefa Super Cups have been won by the Champions League holders

As for Spurs, they will be without James Maddison for the foreseeable future as the former Leicester City midfielder tore his ACL in a pre-season friendly against Newcastle United, meaning that he will join fellow long-term absentees Dejan Kulusevski and Radu Dragusin in the treatment room.

Dominic Solanke also missed the majority of pre-season, and a return to the lineup here seems unlikely. Frank is sweating on the fitness of Destiny Udogie, after the left-back suffered a knee injury last month.

In addition, summer signing Kota Takai has been sidelined since his arrival, having been struck down with a heel injury.

PSG vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

PSG are 4/9 to win in 90 minutes, giving them an implied win probability of 69.2%, while Spurs can be backed to win in 90 minutes at 11/2 and the draw is currently priced up at 4/1.

The European champions are 2/9 to win the tie, and it's 3/1 for Spurs to do the same. Ousmane Dembele leads the anytime goalscorer market at 19/20, followed by fellow PSG teammates Goncalo Ramos (11/10) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (13/10).

PSG -2 handicap @ 13/8

It's no surprise to see we're siding with the French champions on Wednesday night.

Enrique's side were outstanding to watch last season, winning Ligue 1 at a canter before thrashing Inter Milan 5-0 to win their maiden Champions League title.

The European champions continued this form at the Fifa Club World Cup earlier this summer, until they faced Chelsea in the final and were beaten 3-0 at MetLife Stadium.

PSG boast a forward line littered with quality in the likes of Desire Doue, Dembele and Kvaratskhelia, and Spurs could potentially be without two of last season's leading goalscorers.

Son Heung-min has departed for pastures new to Los Angeles FC, and Maddison's injury misfortunes have been outlined above. Mohammed Kudus' arrival brings optimism but he could only muster six goals in a West Ham United shirt last term.

PSG scored 38 goals in last season’s Champions League, knocking out three English teams along their journey to the title - Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal - while Spurs lost seven of the nine matches they had against those sides.

Bet Builder - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to have 3+total shots on target & Ousmane Dembele to score anytime @ 11/4

Our second pick for this game is a bet builder which backs Kvaratskhelia to have three shots on target and Dembele to score anytime.

Kvaratskhelia averaged over three shots-per-game in last season's Champions League, with exactly one of those being on target. With PSG expected to dominate, the former Napoli star can test the Spurs goalkeeper at least three times on Wednesday.

Dembele scored eight goals in last season's UCL, including a hat-trick against Stuttgart, and the Frenchman bagged 34 goals in 56 games for club and country over the course of the 2024-25 campaign.

The former Barcelona man is expected to pick up where he left off here and backing him to score anytime seems a sensible play considering his form.
