Arsenal have given themselves work to do in Paris on Wednesday (20:00, TNT Sports 1) when they take to Parc des Princes for the second leg of their Uefa Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners suffered a 1-0 defeat in the reversal at the Emirates in what was a flat performance from Mikel Arteta's side, but PSG couldn't bolster their advantage so Arsenal are still in this tie. Read on for my PSG vs Arsenal predictions, supported by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

PSG are sweating over the fitness of top scorer Ousmane Dembele, who gave them the advantage against Arsenal, after he was withdrawn at the Emirates with a hamstring strain. The Frenchman was absent from Les Parisiens' Ligue 1 defeat at Strasbourg on Saturday and he is a doubt to feature on Wednesday.

Goncalo Ramos looks set to lead the line in his absence, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue likely to keep their places on the flanks.

Lee Kang-in is likely to miss out after picking up an issue against Strasbourg. PSG boss Luis Enrique has no other personnel issues coming into Wednesday. Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha are expected to feature in the engine room once again.

PSG vs Arsenal Stats

  • BTTS and over 2.5 goals has struck in Arsenal's last four away trips in the UCL
  • Jurrien Timber committed four fouls in the first leg

Arsenal are still missing Gabriel Magalhaes, Kai Havertz (both hamstring), Gabriel Jesus (ACL), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) and Jorginho (lung) due to injury.

David Raya should line up in goal, shielded by Jurrien Timber, Jakub Kiwior, William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly. At the top end of the pitch, Arteta may consider deploying Mikel Merino as a false nine again, which would in turn cause competition between Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to start on the left flank.

Thomas Partey is back in contention after missing the first leg through suspension, and he's likely to go straight back into the midfield alongside Declan Rice and captain Martin Odegaard.

PSG vs Arsenal Odds

PSG have won seven of their last nine Champions League matches and they are 23/20 (which has an implied probability of 46.5%) to prevail in regulation time.

The stalemate is marketed at 11/4 but the two teams have only drawn three matches between them in Europe this term.

Arsenal are 9/4 to win in 90 minutes, and they have won on their past four trips in the UCL this campaign.

Both teams to score has also struck in the Gunners' previous four road trips in the Champions League and BTTS is valued at 4/7 for Wednesday.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals @ 10/11

PSG were by far the better team in north London last week and they could be left to pay for not strengthening their advantage in the tie. A 1-0 lead still leaves the door open for Arsenal to turn the tie around.

For this reason, I think backing a result is best to avoid. If Arsenal start brightly and get the first goal, PSG could be thrown off balance. If the hosts score first, they could run riot against the Gunners in Parc des Princes.

PSG need to be more clinical after squandering some good chances at the Emirates and Arsenal have to come out all guns blazing, so I think goals are to be expected in the French capital.

I like the look of BTTS and over 2.5 goals because this has been a successful bet in Arsenal's past four road trips in the Champions League, while this has also been a winning selection in two of PSG's last three UCL appearances, which both came against another English team in Aston Villa.

Jurrien Timber to receive a card @ 3/1

I think there is value to be had in backing Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber to pick up a booking in Paris as I believe he was fortunate to escape one against PSG last time out. The Dutchman was run ragged by Kvaratskhelia and was drawn into making four fouls.

Only PSG's Achraf Hakimi (five) committed more in the game and the opposing full-back was shown a yellow card. Timber is likely going to be targeted by Kvaratskhelia as the Georgian knew he had the better of the defender at the Emirates.

I'm expecting another tough evening for Timber and I think 3/1 is an attractive price for him to pick up a yellow card.
