Club World Cup Team Betting Predictions: PSG

After years of chasing the elusive dream, PSG finally won the big one this year as they put in the most destructive Champions League final performance we have ever seen. The 5-0 success over Inter Milan in Munich left the footballing world in adoration of this fantastic young side, and Luis Enrique’s men will look to follow that up with more success at the Club World Cup this summer.
They’ve got fellow big guns Atletico Madrid in their group, and face them in a spicy opener, but below you can find my PSG Fifa Club World Cup 2025 predictions as I assess their chances of going all the way.
Club World Cup Team Betting Predictions - PSG
Group B: PSG, Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, Seattle Sounders
Fixtures: PSG vs Atletico Madrid (20:00 BST, June 15), PSG vs Botafogo (02:00 BST, June 20), Seattle Sounders vs PSG (20:00 BST, June 23)
The real question for PSG after their Champions League success, is how much focus they are going to give to this competition. The prize money is obviously a draw, with the winner scooping around £97m, but PSG are pretty flush for cash as it is.
There’s no doubting their quality and their ability to win this competition. They’ve already proven themselves to be the best team in Europe, and given their nearest rivals Barcelona aren’t at this tournament - neither are Liverpool - you’d imagine they will feature in the latter stages.
Luis Enrique’s magic with PSG has been turning individual superstars into the world’s best team. In the case of Neymar, Lionel Messi and most recently, Kylian Mbappe, it meant waving goodbye to players that simply didn’t fit his aggressive style of play. We have all seen the clip of the manager telling Mbappe what he expected of him, and using Michael Jordan as an inspiration, but it’s fair to say that the French star leaving for Real Madrid was the best move for all parties.
In his place, Ousmane Dembele has emerged as a world superstar, supported by the staggering young talents of Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola and the slightly older Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. That attacking line-up has won the treble this term, with the midfield of Joao Neves, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz able to compete with any other midfield in Europe.
I expect the French side to rest and rotate throughout this tournament, especially after the opener v Atleti. You’d expect them to be able to get past Botafogo and Seattle Sounders comfortably, so the likes of Warren Zaire-Emery, Lee Kang-in, Lucas Beraldo and Champions League final goalscorer Senny Mayulu should see plenty of action.
There’s so much to love about this PSG side, and the way Luis Enrique has them working for each other. But will they be as good over in the United States of America as they were in Europe after a long and arduous campaign?

Player to watch: Desire Doue
It’s practically impossible to pick just one talent out from this PSG side, especially when you consider the rotation that is likely in the tournament early on. However, I have to pick out Doue as the one to watch. At just 19 years old, he looks like he can challenge Lamine Yamal for the title of best young player in the world, and he is now one of the stars of this tournament.
As with all teenagers, we should be wary of burnout and I hope his minutes are managed throughout the summer, but if PSG make it to the final four, he is sure to play a big part in the decisive stages. Two goals and an assist in a Champions League final at the age of 19 is simply staggering, and the way he took to that stage was just frightening.
He’s played 54 games for PSG this term which is slightly concerning, so he may not feature too much in the group stage, but when it comes down to the business end of the tournament, Doue can be the man to take centre stage once more. Can he cap off a fine debut season for PSG with yet another trophy?
Prediction: PSG to reach the semi-finals @ 13/8
PSG have been priced up as the 6/1 third-favourites to go all the way in the United States of America, but I am still wary of backing them to do so, despite their obvious quality. I can see it happening, but also they may slip up against the likes of Real Madrid, who are putting far more emphasis on this competition after a disappointing campaign.
In terms of value, I like the look of PSG to reach the semi-finals at odds of 13/8. They should comfortably progress from this group, either in second behind Atleti, or on top, and then I am more than happy to back them to win a quarter-final.
The last 16 draw will also work in their favour as they come up against a side from the weak Group A, with Porto, Palmeiras, Al Ahly or Inter Miami awaiting them in the first knockout stage. Winning the group isn’t all that important as I’d make PSG favourites to make the semi-finals no matter how that group pans out. Odds of 13/8 for them to progress against teams they will be heavy favourites against makes perfect sense in my eyes - as they have the quality to go all the way.
