Tottenham vs Everton Prediction: Spurs to secure Premier League Survival

37 games down, one to go. At the start of the campaign Spurs' fans would have been expecting to be competing for a European place come this point of the season, instead, they are battling for top-flight survival.
Leeds have already assured that and a tense afternoon is expected at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the home fans. Sky Sports Main Event will be showing this one with kick-off set for 4PM. Check out Dan Tracey's Tottenham vs Everton Predictions and Betting Tips right here on Betfred Insights...

*Odds correct as of the time of publication
It boils down to this, just 90 minutes of the Premier League season left remaining. The longest hour and a half of Tottenham's whole campaign. Avoid defeat at home to Everton and they will be playing top tier football once again. Lose at home, with a West Ham win across the capital and its game over for Spurs.
Which means David Moyes could end up doing one of his former employers a huge favour if the can mastermind victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Toffees have nothing to play for but that does not mean they are simply going to roll over on the final day of league proceedings.
Team News
Although Cristian Romero is out injured for the visit of Everton, it is his trip to Argentina which has generated the headlines in the build up to Sunday. The defender deciding to watch his beloved Belgrano back home, will his lack of presence sink Spurs in their hour of biggest need?
Admittedly, his presence in the stands would not have made a great deal of difference and the only difference that manager Roberto De Zerbi may decide to make after Tuesday's loss at Chelsea is the reinstatement of Guglielmo Vicario between the sticks. The 10 outfield players are set to remain unchanged.
As for visitors Everton, there is no new injury news to report which means a question mark as to whether Idrissa Gueye will make the trip to the capital. Should he fail to win the race against fitness, it is set to be an unchanged side to the one that lost at home to Sunderland last weekend.
This means that Beto will be tasked with leading the line, although Thierno Berry could be a handy impact sub should David Moyes need to get something out of the game late on. While the unchanged starting eleven means that Merlin Rohl keeps his place after scoring against the Black Cats last Sunday.

Tottenham to win & over 2.5 goals @ 7/4
After Everton's loss to Sunderland last weekend, their route to European football is blocked off for another season. The role they have to play is spoilers in Spurs' survival party but thankfully for the North London outfit, I don't believe the Toffees will be added to Sunday's guest list.
I don't trust Tottenham to keep a clean sheet because there will likely be too many nerves on the field but I do think the hosts can out score the visitors. What better way to secure safety then by taking matters in your hands. The best way to do that is a home win and no need to focus on what happens at the London Stadium.

Over 4.5 cards @ 1/1
Rather surprisingly, Tottenham are the team with the worst discipline in this season's edition of the Premier League. Before Sunday, they have collected a total of 100 cards - 96 yellows and four reds and although they sit at the top of disciplinary hall of the shame, opponents Everton are no angels either.
The Toffees arrive in North London having picked up a total of 74 cards - 70 yellows and also four reds and with them being the ninth-worst team in terms of discipline, the combined average of 4.70 cards per game sits nicely with my prediction of five or more cards being shown by referee Michael Oliver.
