Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds Prediction: Can Spurs take giant leap toward Premier League survival?

A crucial clash from the bottom half of the Premier League heads our way from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur host Leeds on Monday night (8pm BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event).

The hosts, who sit just one point clear of the drop zone, continue their bid to avoid relegation, while the visitors are mathematically safe after West Ham United's defeat to Arsenal on Sunday. Read on for my Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison both hobbled off in Spurs' win at Villa Park last week, but the pair are expected to be fit for Monday's game.

However, Roberto De Zerbi's injury list remains extensive with the likes of Dominic Solanke, Guglielmo Vicario, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert, Ben Davies, Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons all set to miss out here. James Maddison has been an unused substitute for the past fortnight, and could be in line for his first minutes of the season on Monday night.

As for the visitors, Noah Okafor is sidelined with a calf injury and will be joined in the treatment room by Gabriel Gudmundsson and Ilia Gruev.

With Leeds already mathematically safe from relegation, they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium without any pressure.

Daniel Farke's side have been involved in plenty of entertaining affairs in recent weeks, and I'd expect nothing less from them here, even more so now that their Premier League status for next season is secure.

Spurs have no option but to go for goals, which is why I'm going to back both teams to score as well as over 2.5 total goals.

Not since 2004 has there been a match between the pair that had fewer than three goals, and each one of their 10 clashes since then has resulted in over 2.5 goals. In fact, the last time the two sides met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs prevailed in a 4-3 thriller.

Richarlison to score or assist a goal @ 4/5

Richarlison has been involved in relegation battles before with Watford and Everton, making him a tempting pick to score or assist in Monday's game.

The 29-year-old has had two goal involvements across Spurs' last two outings and is the club's top goalscorer with 10 strikes to his name. With previous experience in these relegation six-pointers, I'm backing the Brazilian to step up when Spurs need him most.
