Premier League Stats & Best Bets for Week 20

  • Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest
  • Saturday, 12:30
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Aston Villa have won their last 10 home games in all competitions, while no team have failed to score in more different Premier League games this season than Nottingham Forest (10).

Best bet: Aston Villa's extraordinary winning run came to a shuddering halt at the Emirates, but they remain six points clear of Liverpool in fourth and can be very happy with their work in 2025. Nottingham Forest's home reverse to Everton made it three defeats in a row and they are well and truly in the relegation fight. Only Wolves have scored fewer goals than the Tricky Trees this season, so we'll back Unai Emery's men to win to nil here at a decent price.

  • Brighton vs Burnley
  • Saturday, 15:00

Key stat: Burnley have conceded more first half goals than any other side in the Premier League this season (18), going 2-0 down in the opening seven minutes against Newcastle United last time out.

Best bet: A 2-2 draw at West Ham made it six games without a win for Brighton but the visit of struggling Burnley gives the Seagulls a chance to get back on track. The Clarets conceded another three goals at home to struggling Newcastle last time out and are looking stretched with three players away at AFCON and club captain Josh Cullen ruled out for the season after injury. We'll back the hosts to make a quick start here along the way to collecting three points.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Burnley - Half-Time/Full-Time
Brighton/Brighton

  • Wolves vs West Ham
  • Saturday, 15:00

Key stat: West Ham are winless in their last eight Premier League games and have only kept one clean sheet all season, while Wolves have conceded in every game.

Best bet: Wolves fans finally had something to cheer about as the basement boys picked up a battling point at Old Trafford and they can build on that when struggling West Ham come to town. Since picking up consecutive wins at the start of November, the Hammers have lost four and drawn four, and Rob Edwards' men can grab another point here. With neither side able to keep clean sheets, we'll double up with both teams to score.

  • Bournemouth vs Arsenal
  • Saturday, 17:30
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Bournemouth are winless in their last 10 Premier League games, losing five, but only Arsenal have conceded fewer home goals than their six.

Best bet: Another chaotic away day for Bournemouth at Chelsea last time out as the teams shared four goals, all scored in the first half an hour, but matches at the Vitality have been far more sedate, with under 2.5 goals landing in four of the last five. Arsenal are sitting pretty at the top of the table but they've only won one of their last four on the road and the Cherries can make life difficult here. We'll back the Gunners and under 3.5 goals at an odds-against price.

Bournemouth V Arsenal - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 3.5
Arsenal Win & Under 3.5 Goals

  • Leeds United vs Manchester United
  • Sunday, 12:30
  • Live on TNT Sport

Key stat: Leeds have only failed to score in one of their last 17 Premier League home games, with nine of their last 11 top-flight games at Elland Road seeing over 2.5 goals.

Best bet: The battling draw at Anfield on New Year's Day made it six unbeaten for Leeds and they'll fancy their chances against a Manchester United side who were held by Wolves at home and missing the creativity of Bruno Fernandes, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo. The Elland Road faithful has seen plenty of goals this season and Sunday's game should be no different, with the Red Devils without an away clean sheet in 14 games. We'll back Daniel Farke's men to avoid defeat and over 2.5 goals.

Leeds United vs Manchester United - Double Chance & Over/Under +2.5
Leeds United or Draw and Over 2.5

  • Everton vs Brentford
  • Sunday, 15:00
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Only bottom side Wolves have lost more Premier League away games than Brentford in the Premier League this season (seven).

Best bet: Brentford were unable to build on the excellent 4-1 win over Bournemouth when drawing 0-0 with Spurs in possibly the worst game of football in the history of the sport. The Bees have been poor travellers this season with just two wins and an Everton side in a confident mood after winning at Nottingham Forest should have enough in the tank for a win. The Toffees have not been prolific at home, scoring 11 in their nine games at the Hill Dickinson, so we'll double it with under 2.5 goals.

Everton vs Brentford - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 2.5
Everton Win & Under 2.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Fulham vs Liverpool
  • Sunday, 15:00
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: The last four Premier League games between Fulham and Liverpool have produced a total of 20 goals, with both teams scoring at least twice in three of those four matches.

Best bet: Liverpool were flat in the goalless draw with Leeds on New Year's Day but their away games have seen plenty of action this season, with over 2.5 goals landing in seven of the nine matches so far. Fulham missed a couple of great late chances at Crystal Palace to make it four wins in a row and will be confident of bloodying the Reds' noses again after taking four points off them last season., With an end-to-end encounter in prospect, we'll back both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at an odds-against price.

Fulham vs Liverpool - Both Teams To Score and Total Goals Over/Under +2.5
Yes and Over 2.5 Goals

  • Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace
  • Sunday, 15:00
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Crystal Palace have failed to score in any of their last four Premier League away games against Newcastle (D1 L3), losing the last two by an aggregate score of 9-0.

Best bet: Crystal Palace avoided losing their fourth game in a row with a home point against Fulham on New Year’s Day, but their heavy schedule and thin squad is catching up with them. Newcastle got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Burnley and will have had two more days to prepare than the Eagles, who will be missing key men Daniel Munoz and Ismaila Sarr. Eddie Howe’s men are odds-on for the win here, but we can boost the price to 9/5 by adding a clean sheet.

Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace - To Win to Nil
Newcastle United

Odds correct at time of publishing.

  • Tottenham vs Sunderland
  • Sunday, 15:00
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Tottenham lost 11 home league games in 2025, their most ever in a calendar year. Spurs have also lost their opening home league game in five of the last seven calendar years (W2), going down 2-1 against Newcastle last year.

Best bet: Thomas Frank was booed by the away fans after Tottenham's insipid showing at Brentford - rarely a good sign for a manager - and they face another tough test against a Sunderland side buoyed by holding Man City in what was a much better version of a 0-0. Despite their home woes, Spurs are odds-on here with the visitors evens to avoid defeat. With no signs of a return for any of Tottenham's attacking players, we'll take a chance on the away win at a chunky 7/2.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland - Match Result
Sunderland

  • Manchester City vs Chelsea
  • Sunday, 17:30
  • Live on Sky Sports

Key stat: Manchester City have won their last eight Premier League home games, netting 3+ goals in seven of those, including the last five in a row

Best bet: Man City's six-game winning streak was ended by a battling Sunderland side, but they remain imperious at home – winning eight in row – and 4/7 about another victory over managerless Chelsea looks right. With goals aplenty at the Etihad this season, we can boost that price to 23/20 by adding Over 2.5 Goals – this has landed in City's last seven wins.

Manchester City vs Chelsea - Match Result And Total Goals Over/Under 2.5
Manchester City Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Odds correct at time of publishing.
