Premier League Stats & Best Bets for Week 19

  • Burnley vs Newcastle United
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on Sky Sports Tennis

Key stat: There have been fewer than three goals in all but one of Burnley's home Premier League matches this season, while Newcastle have lost five of their last six on the road.

Best bet: This match is on Sky Sports Tennis but it's unlikely to serve up an end-to-end encounter. Burnley have at least stopped the losing rut, with two draws in a row, including a 0-0 at Turf Moor against Everton on Saturday, and they can keep it tight against misfiring Newcastle. Under 2.5 Goals is a solid selection at evens but we'll boost it to 19/10 by adding a Kyle Walker foul via the Bet Builder - the veteran full-back committed three in the reverse fixture and was booked.

  • Chelsea vs Bournemouth
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on Sky Sports Main Event

Key stat: Bournemouth have won just once on the road all season, but have scored in all but one of their away games.

Best bet: After a strong start to the season, Bournemouth were in second place in October but their form has collapsed since then with no wins in nine and they're now in real danger of being dragged into relegation trouble. The Cherries haven't beaten Chelsea in eight attempts and the Blues should have enough in the tank to pick up three points here. We'll add BTTS to boost the price - despite their struggles, Andoni Iraola's side are always a goal threat.

  • Nottingham Forest vs Everton
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on Sky Sports Cricket

Key stat: Since returning to the Premier League in 2022/23, Nottingham Forest have won just one of their seven matches against Everton, while the Toffees have won in four of their last five visits to the City Ground.

Best bet: Since beating Tuesday's opponents 3-0 at the Hill Dickinson at the start of December, Everton have gone three games without scoring a goal but they are probably facing Forest at a good time. Sean Dyche's men are without key man Ibrahim Sangaré, away at AFCON, and come off the back of an energy sapping encounter against Man City. We'll back the Toffees to avoid defeat here in a double with Under 2.5 Goals - both sides have only scored 18 goals in 18 games.

  • West Ham vs Brighton
  • Tuesday, 19:30
  • Live on Sky Sports Golf

Key stat: Nine of the 17 Premier League meetings between West Ham and Brighton have been draws, including three of the last four and six of the eight encounters in east London.

Best bet: Very little Christmas cheer for these two sides, with defeat to Fulham making it 11 home losses in 2025 for West Ham and Brighton now winless in five and down to 12th in the table. It's hard to back either side with any confidence, although the Seagulls did almost stage a late comeback against Arsenal last time out. Both managers would probably be happy to avoid defeat here so we'll back the stalemate.

  • Arsenal vs Aston Villa
  • Tuesday, 20:15
  • Live on Sky Sports Premier League

Key stat: Both teams have scored in six of Aston Villa's last seven games and in six of Arsenal's last eight top flight matches.

Best bet: The standout fixture of the round sees on-fire Aston Villa heading to the Emirates looking for their 13th win in 14 Premier League matches. Despite that incredible record - and the win over Arsenal in the reverse fixture -  Unai Emery's men are rated an 11/2 chance here. They will have plenty of backers at those prices but the Gunners have been formidable on home soil this season so we'll back both teams to score here in a double with a Morgan Rogers shot on target. The England man has forced a save from the keeper in five of his last seven, including in the home win over Mikel Arteta's men.

Bet: Back both teams to score and Morgan Rogers to have 1+ shots on target at 21/10

  • Manchester United vs Wolves
  • Tuesday, 20:15
  • Live on Sky Sports Football

Key stat: Man Utd have won eight of their last 11 Premier League matches against Wolves, but have only kept two clean sheets in the top flight this season.

Best bet: Wolves remain marooned at the foot of the table after yet another defeat at the weekend although they put up a spirited show at Anfield and got on the scoresheet, as they did against Arsenal. Manchester United steamrollered Rob Edwards' men in the reverse fixture earlier this month and it's hard to look beyond a home win here, but we can boost the price from 4/11 to 9/5 by adding a Wolves goal; both teams to score has landed in 13 of United's 18 matches this season.

  • Crystal Palace vs Fulham
  • Thursday, 17:30
  • Live on Sky Sports Premier League

Key stat: Crystal Palace have failed to win or score in any of their last four Premier League home games against Fulham, since a 2-0 victory in February 2019.

Best bet: It's been the most successful year in Crystal Palace's history, but 2025 is ending on a spluttering note for the Eagles with Sunday's defeat to Tottenham their third in a row. Oliver Glasner's men haven't won in the Premier League at Selhurst Park since November 1 with the manager's warnings about a lack of squad depth being borne out. Fulham, in contrast, are looking for their fourth win in a row and have a very good recent record in SE25. We'll back the Cottagers at a decent price.

  • Liverpool vs Leeds United
  • Thursday 17:30
  • Live on Sky Sports Main Event

Key stat: Liverpool have scored 19 goals in their last five Premier League matches against Leeds, while there have been 24 goals in the last six Whites matches.

Best bet: After the chaotic 3-3 draw between these sides at the start of December - the scene of Mo Salah's infamous post-match rant - Liverpool's season looked like derailing completely, but Arne Slot's men have since won four in a row in all competitions. Leeds have also been in fine form this month, unbeaten in five, inspired by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has scored in six consecutive appearances. We'll back Over 2.5 Goals in a double with a shot on target for the former Everton striker.

Bet: Back Over 2.5 Goals and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to have 1+ shots on target at 13/10

  • Brentford vs Tottenham
  • Thursday, 20:00
  • Live on Sky Sports Premier League

Key stat: Only Arsenal and Man City have scored more home goals than Brentford this season (20), while Tottenham are the third highest away scorers with 16.

Best bet: Thomas Frank makes his first return to the G-Tech since departing Brentford, with Spurs below his former side in the table after an inconsistent start to the season. Tottenham did, however, return to the top of the 'away league table' with a win over Palace on Sunday and look far more comfortable on the road. Brentford will be in a confident mood after beating Bournemouth 4-1 with Kevin Schade netting a hat-trick and there should be plenty of goalmouth action here. We'll back Over 2.5 Goals and a Schade shot on target.

Bet: Back Over 2.5 Goals and Kevin Schade to have 1+ shots on target at 13/8

  • Sunderland vs Manchester City
  • Thursday, 20:00
  • Live on Sky Sports Main Event

Key stat: Manchester City have won their last six Premier League matches, their longest run in a single campaign since winning their final nine en route to the league title in 2023/24.

Best bet: Sunderland remain unbeaten at the Stadium of Light after a hard-fought draw with Leeds but they were a touch fortunate - the visitors chalked up 2.17 xG versus their 0.7 - and the Black Cats' six AFCON absences are beginning to hit home. Rayan Cherki inspired Man City to an excellent win over Nottingham Forest with a goal and yet another assist - his seventh of the campaign - and we'll back the Frenchman to lead Pep Guardiola's men to another three points here.

Bet: Back Man City to win and Rayan Cherki to make 1+ assists at 9/4
