A quiet Sunday afternoon in the Premier League then. Not. Arsenal took a giant leap towards the title with a 1-0 win over West Ham United, as a last-minute VAR intervention cancelled out Callum Wilson’s late equaliser.

It was an enthralling finish at the London Stadium, but what does it mean for the Premier League Title Odds? We’ve taken a look down below.

There were three giant moments in that win at the London Stadium for Arsenal. First of all, David Raya’s monumental save from Mateus Fernandes was outstanding. The West Ham midfielder should have put the hosts 1-0 up, but missed from close range.

Then, Leandro Trossard fired home the only goal of the game to put Arsenal ahead with just seven minutes of normal time left before the aforementioned VAR chaos unfolded. It was arguably the biggest moment the technology has had since it was introduced, and ultimately, it arrived at the correct decision.

Raya was clearly being fouled by Pablo, as the Hammers striker held his arm as he came to claim the cross. The result means that Arsenal are now just two wins away from guaranteeing the title, although if Manchester City drop points on Wednesday night against Crystal Palace, a win against Burnley will be enough.

The odds reflect the likelihood that Arsenal will lift their first Premier League title since 2004. Arsenal went from 1/3 before the game on Betfred, to their current price of 1/7, while Manchester City are now out at 9/2 to win their another league under Pep Guardiola.

With arguably the two kindest remaining fixtures possible, Burnley at home and Crystal Palace away, it is hard to see Arsenal blowing it from here. Burnley have been tepid all season and a win against the Clarets may be enough, but if not, then a final day test against a Palace side with a Conference League final coming days later is certainly a gift.

All signs, and the odds, point towards the fact that Arsenal will be Premier League champions this season. All of a sudden, with just three games to go of their season, Mikel Arteta’s men could be crowned not only champions of England, but kings of the continent. With all the pressure on the league, the Champions League has been a side hobby, but it’s gone superbly well.

They are underdogs to win that trophy as you would expect, priced at 6/5, but this could be a spectacular end to the season for Arsenal fans. The Premier League looks to be in the bag, and the Champions League could be the cherry on top of the cake.
