Nottingham Forest vs Burnley Prediction: Forest to land a big win

Nottingham Forest had joy in midweek as they beat Porto to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League, but now Vítor Pereira’s side must turn their attention to the Premier League.
Mired deep in a relegation battle, a home fixture against a Burnley side (14:00 BST, Sky Sports+) destined for the drop looks to be a kind one. Below you can find my Nottingham Forest vs Burnley predictions.

Team News
Forest took a bit of a battering in midweek on the injury front as Chris Wood, Murillo and Callum Hudson-Odoi all limped off in the 2-1 aggregate win. Wood and Murillo may be okay to feature, but the latter left the stadium on crutches.
"I'm not a doctor but I think Chris and Murillo will not be anything special," Pereira said. "Of course, Chris has a bruise on his knee but I believe that him and Murillo will be ready for Burnley. Callum has a muscle injury and it is not possible, that's the bad news." Elliot Anderson is unlikely to feature after the passing of his mother.
For Burnley, Scott Parker is likely to make more changes as he searches for points. Kyle Walker should return at right-back, while Josh Laurent will feature in midfield. Josh Cullen, Zeki Amdouni (both knee), Hannibal Mejbri (thigh), Jordan Beyer (hamstring), Connor Roberts (Achilles) and Mike Tresor (ankle) are all out.

Nottingham Forest vs Burnley Stats
- Forest are unbeaten in six
- Burnley have scored one goal in their last four
- Bashir Humphreys has five yellows in 16 league games
Nottingham Forest to win to nil @ 7/5
Nottingham Forest are on a high having reached the final four of the Europa League and they have also improved in the Premier League of late, going unbeaten in their last four outings. Periera has certainly solidified the defence, as Forest have only conceded three goals in their last six games in all competitons, and I think they will keep another clean sheet in this home win.
Burnley have only scored once in their last four games, and I think this will provide another step too far for Scott Parker’s outfit.

Bashir Humphreys to get booked @ 4/1
I think there is some fantastic value to be had if we look at Burnley players to get booked in this away game, and I think Bashir Humphreys is the pick of the bunch. He played at right-back against Brighton but should return to centre-back on Sunday, and he’s racked up five yellows this season.
That may not seem that high, but when you consider he has only played 16 league games due to an early-season injury, he has been racking them up. With Forest’s vibrant attackers, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Humphreys in the book at some stage.
