Nottingham Forest Relegation Odds: Final five fixtures loom large for Forest

After seven Premier League games without a win, Nottingham Forest claimed a huge three points at relegation rivals Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday, beating the reigning Uefa Europa League champions 3-0 in north London. The Tricky Trees overtook the Lilywhites into 16th, but Vitor Pereira's charges are only two points clear of the 17th-placed side, while West Ham United (18th) are just a point further back, too.
Below I've taken a look at the Nottingham Forest relegation odds and discussed how likely they are to keep hold of their Premier League status for another season.

Forest are already on manager number four of the 2025/26 season, with Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche exiting the club in September, October and February, respectively. All three endured miserable results in the Premier League, and they each paid the price.
Pereira took over the side on February 15, briefed, first and foremost, with guiding the Tricky Trees to Premier League safety, while the dream was to keep their European dream alive, too.
So far, so good in the Europa League, as a penalty shootout victory over FC Midtjylland last week sent them through to the quarter-finals, where Portuguese giants FC Porto lie in wait.
Pereira didn't get off to a great start domestically, however, as Forest lost their first two games, at home to Liverpool (0-1) and away to Brighton & Hove Albion (2-1), before drawing away to Manchester City (2-2) and at home to Fulham (0-0).
Sunday's win at Spurs, though, was massive, and it's no surprise to see Forest now considered the most likely of the three teams to avoid relegation.
As well as holding the points advantage, there's a strong argument to be made that Forest boast the most talented squad, with defender Murillo and midfielder Elliot Anderson among the most highly-coveted Premier League players in their position, and both are surely destined for a big move in the near future.
Add in Morgan Gibbs-White, Nikola Milenkovic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and last season's leading goalscorer Chris Wood, who is back fit after missing the majority of the campaign through injury, and you begin to wonder how Forest could mess things up in the last seven games.

Fighting on two fronts, though, could be something that affects Forest's fight to survive, with a big Premier League game against Champions League-chasing Aston Villa at the City Ground on April 12 sandwiched between the two legs of their Europa League tie with Porto.
Another home match against a beleaguered Burnley, who look destined for the drop, follows, and three points there is surely crucial ahead of their final five fixtures against Sunderland (A), Chelsea (A), Newcastle United (H), Manchester United (A) and AFC Bournemouth (H). You could make the argument that Forest will be underdogs for all five, so that Burnley game looks huge.
West Ham are still in two competitions, too, as they host Leeds United in the FA Cup quarter-finals on April 5, but that's one match compared to Forest's two in the Europa League, while Spurs can concentrate solely on the Premier League after they were knocked out of the Champions League last week. The potential arrival of a new manager at Spurs could also act as a big boost to the north London side's chances of survival.
Considering the strength of Forest's squad, I don't think their supporters should be too concerned about the prospect of a European hangover, especially as it appears that Pereira will prioritise the Premier League, while the return of Wood up top should improve their attacking output.
The biggest worry for Forest, in my opinion, should be their fixture list, which doesn't look too kind, particularly compared to West Ham's.
However, Forest have momentum on their side after reaching the Europa League quarter-finals and going three games unbeaten in the Premier League, with their recent win at Spurs also helping to darken the mood at a relegation rival.
