Team News
Newcastle are without the services of Anthony Gordon (hip), Fabian Schar (ankle), Emil Krafth (knee) and Tino Livramento (thigh) due to injury. Livramento looks set to have played his last match for the Magpies because he is heavily being linked with an exit from Tyneside this summer.
Both Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa's futures are in doubt as they are currently having to play understudies for fellow striker Will Osula.
Adam Webster, Stefanos Tzimas, Diego Gomez (all knee), Solly March (muscle) and James Milner (knock) are set to miss out for Brighton through injury.
Following a comfortable victory over Chelsea last time out, Fabian Hurzeler may be tempted to field the same team against Newcastle. Danny Welbeck should be pushing to start after coming off the bench to score in that fixture.
Newcastle vs Brighton Predicted Lineups
- Newcastle: Ramsdale; Trippier, Thiaw, Botman, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Miley; Murphy, Osula, Barnes
- Brighton: Verbruggen; Wieffer, Dunk, Van Hecke, Kadioglu; Gross, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck
Newcastle are 6/4 to get back to winning ways.
Brighton have won three of their past four away trips in the Premier League and they are 8/5 to come out on top here.
The draw is marketed at 13/5, and this was the outcome of the Seagulls' latest away day against Tottenham Hotspur.
Welbeck bagged a brace for Brighton in the reverse fixture and he is the 6/5 favourite to score anytime on Saturday.
Newcastle vs Brighton Stats
- Brighton have won 6 of their last 8 league games
- The Seagulls are unbeaten across their past 6 competitive meetings with Newcastle (W4 D2)
- Brighton have scored at least twice in each of their 4 most recent league matches
Match Result - Brighton @ 8/5
Newcastle have had a very disappointing campaign. We are nearing the five-year anniversary of their takeover and despite the lofty ambitions, the Magpies are still a distance from where they want to be.
There is no doubting that Eddie Howe's position in charge of the first team is going to be under threat going into the summer. His side are on a four-game losing streak in the league and I think this will continue against an in-form Brighton side on Saturday.
The Seagulls are fighting for a top-six finish and they have won six of their previous eight fixtures in the top flight. They have also won four of the past six meetings with Newcastle in all competitions, including October's reverse fixture in the league.

Away Team Total Goals - Over 1.5 @ 6/5
Newcastle have been far too easy to score against this season and not even playing at St. James' Park can help them to be organised. I think there is value to be had in in backing Brighton to score at least two goals on Tyneside, which they have accomplished in each of their last four outings in the Premier League.
The hosts have conceded two goals in three of their four-game losing streak coming into this clash and I believe we will see both trends continue on Saturday.
