Newcastle vs Brighton Prediction: Seagulls to feast in Saturday’s Tyneside tussle

Newcastle United will look to end their four-game losing streak in the Premier League when they entertain Brighton & Hove Albion at St. James' Park on Saturday (15:00 BST). The Seagulls travel to the North East having won six of their past eight fixtures in the top flight.

Newcastle are without the services of Anthony Gordon (hip), Fabian Schar (ankle), Emil Krafth (knee) and Tino Livramento (thigh) due to injury. Livramento looks set to have played his last match for the Magpies because he is heavily being linked with an exit from Tyneside this summer.

Both Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa's futures are in doubt as they are currently having to play understudies for fellow striker Will Osula.

Adam Webster, Stefanos Tzimas, Diego Gomez (all knee), Solly March (muscle) and James Milner (knock) are set to miss out for Brighton through injury.

There is no doubting that Eddie Howe's position in charge of the first team is going to be under threat going into the summer. His side are on a four-game losing streak in the league and I think this will continue against an in-form Brighton side on Saturday.

The Seagulls are fighting for a top-six finish and they have won six of their previous eight fixtures in the top flight. They have also won four of the past six meetings with Newcastle in all competitions, including October's reverse fixture in the league.

Newcastle have been far too easy to score against this season and not even playing at St. James' Park can help them to be organised. I think there is value to be had in in backing Brighton to score at least two goals on Tyneside, which they have accomplished in each of their last four outings in the Premier League.
