Manchester United vs West Ham Prediction: Bruno can take down Hammers

Manchester United secured an impressive 2-1 away win over Crystal Palace on Sunday to strengthen their bid for a European place. United now sit on the fringes of the top six and a win here would go a long way to strengthen their Champions League credentials.

They will fancy their chances as they host a struggling West Ham outfit (20:00 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event), and below you can find my Manchester United vs West Ham predictions featuring team news and betting tips.

Team News

Matheus Cunha should return to the Manchester United squad after missing the last two games with concussion. Joshua Zirkzee will start up top having scored at Selhurst Park and he should be supported by Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount as United look to cause problems for the Hammers. 

Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot should operate as the wing-backs, with Lenny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw the back three in front of Senne Lammens. Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro should play in midfield, although the Brazilian will miss the next game if he picks up his fifth yellow card of the season. 

Premier League Odds

West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville will miss Thursday night’s Premier League trip to Manchester United, along with the suspended Lucas Paqueta. Nuno Espirito Santo explained: “I don’t think he’ll (Summerville) make Thursday, unfortunately. There are still some issues. We are still assessing, but I think Thursday is probably going to be too soon.

“Ollie [Scarles] has started training without contact. He’s not back in full training just yet, but he’s been involved in many parts of the sessions.”

Manchester United to win with -1 handicap @ 23/20

Manchester United should be able to win this game fairly comfortably. They’ve now only lost one of their last seven outings, that home defeat to Everton, but they are clearly a far better team now than they were at the start of the season. 

West Ham have won just one away game all season and were beaten by Liverpool last time out. I just think they will get blown away by Manchester United, especially considering the fact that Mbeumo and Cunha should both feature at some point.
