Team News

The hosts could be boosted by the return of Lisandro Martinez who has missed the last five games with a calf injury, which is timely news for Michael Carrick as fellow centre-back Harry Maguire will serve a one-game suspension following his dismissal against Bournemouth last time out, and Matthijs de Ligt is still sidelined with a back injury.

Patrick Dorgu continues his recovery from a hamstring problem, but it remains to see if he'll be fit enough to feature here, while Diogo Dalot could miss out due to illness.

As for Leeds, Anton Stach limped out of their FA Cup win over West Ham last week, and Daniel Farke has confirmed that the midfielder will miss the trip to Old Trafford.

Joe Rodon and former United winger Daniel James are both confirmed absentees, while Jaka Bijol is a doubt after failing to train this week. Gabriel Gudmundsson has made progress in his recovery from a groin issue, but Monday's game will come too soon for Swede.

Manchester United vs Leeds Predicted Lineups

  • Manchester United: Lammens; Dalot, Yoro, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Mbeumo, Bruno Fernandes, Cunha; Sesko
  • Leeds: Perri; Bijol, Bornauw, Struijk; Bogle, Ampadu, Longstaff, Justin; Aaronson; Nmecha, Calvert-Lewin

Manchester United vs Leeds Odds

Manchester United are 8/13 to claim all three points, giving them an implied win probability of 61.9%, while the draw 3/1 and Leeds are 9/2.

Both teams to score - yes is available at 4/5, and Benjamin Sesko currently leads the anytime goalscorer market at 23/20.

Manchester United vs Leeds Stats

  • United have won seven of their 10 games under Michael Carrick
  • Bruno Fernandes has nine assists in his last 11 league matches
  • Leeds are on a six-game winless run

Manchester United to win and both teams to score - yes @ 21/10

United have turned their season around since Michael Carrick stepped into the dugout, winning seven of their 10 Premier League matches under their former midfielder.

They look favourites for Monday night, and of course are benefitting from no European football this term, and don't have any domestic cup action to attend to either.

However, 8/13 for a United win is far too short, so I'm going to back the home win and both teams to score. United, despite their upturn in form, still concede plenty, and have kept just three clean sheets since Carrick took over.

Leeds will be buoyed by their FA Cup quarter-final win over West Ham last weekend, although they've struggled in front of goal in the Premier League, firing blanks against Brentford, Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Manchester City. However, Farke's men have scored on their last three league visits to Old Trafford.

This bet has been a winning play in United's victories over the likes of Arsenal, Fulham, Palace and Aston Villa and I think there's plenty of value in this punt at 21/10.

Bruno Fernandes to assist a goal @ 9/4

Bruno Fernandes has for so long been United's talisman and the Portugal international is having arguably his best season in a red shirt to date.

The 31-year-old has 17 assists across all competitions - 16 in the league - and he looks well priced to turn provider once again on Monday night.

The most assists in a Premier League season is 20, which is currently held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, and Fernandes will have that record in his sights, especially given that there's just seven league games remaining, including Monday's tussle.

Fernandes has four assists across his last four league games for the Red Devils so I'm backing him to create a goal against Leeds here.
