Manchester City vs Everton Prediction: Haaland to open the scoring again

Manchester City will look to extend their winning streak in the Premier League to three games on Saturday (15:00 BST) when they host Everton at the Etihad Stadium. The Toffees head here after a late comeback victory at home to Crystal Palace last time out.

Team News
Man City will hope to have Omar Marmoush (knee), Rayan Ait-Nouri (ankle) and Abdukodir Khusanov (calf) back available for the visit of Everton after each of them have spent a spell on the sidelines.
Rayan Cherki was an unused substitute against Brentford after missing the previous seven games with a thigh issue. He will be hoping to come back into the side on Saturday but Pep Guardiola may choose to ease him back in slowly.
Jeremy Doku was surprisingly named on the bench in the last match and he should be recalled here to provide service to the division's leading marksman Erling Haaland who has nine goals already.
Rodri was forced off with a problem against the Bees and it looks unlikely that he will be involved.
Everton boss David Moyes will have to deal without City loanee Jack Grealish as he is unable to face his parent club as per the terms of his loan agreement. So the attacker's spot in the XI may be taken by summer arrival Tyler Dibling.
Michael Keane (rib), Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Merlin Rohl (groin) will all be assessed ahead of the weekend. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is back again following his one-game suspension, so he should return to the number 10 role to play alongside Dibling and Iliman Ndiaye.
Manchester City vs Everton Predicted Lineups
- Manchester City - Donnarumma; Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Gonzalez; Bernardo, Foden, Reijnders, Doku; Haaland
- Everton - Pickford; O’Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; Dibling, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto
Manchester City vs Everton Odds
City have won two of their three home games in the league this season and they are 2/5 to come out on top. There have been goals at both ends in Everton's last three outings in the top flight so Man City and BTTS is available at 2/1 (implied probability of 33.3%).
BTTS Yes on its own is marketed at 1/1.
The draw is priced at 4/1, while Everton are 15/2 to stun the hosts.
Haaland is 4/6 to bag his 10th league goal of the campaign at any stage during the match.
Manchester City vs Everton Stats
- Man City have won two of their three home league games
- BTTS ha struck in two of Everton's three away games in the PL
- Erling Haaland (MCI) has scored the first goal in four of City's six league matches
Man City and both teams to score @ 2/1
City are looking a better side than they were last season but there are still things for them to iron out if they are to get their hands back on the Premier League trophy. They were battling to hold onto their 1-0 lead at Brentford last time out after not making the most of their dominance in the first half.
Being back at home should help them on Saturday but Everton will be a tricky opponent. The Toffees have been a stronger force on their own patch but they have posed problems on the road despite winning just one of their three away trips in the league this term.
Everton were on the scoresheet against both Wolves and rivals Liverpool, and I think they can breach City's defence, as I think there are still question marks over Guardiola's back four.
BTTS has been a winning selection in the visitors' past three outings in the top flight and I think this trend will continue in M11. I think City will have enough in attack to help them put another three points on the board, though, given the form of Haaland and Doku.

Erling Haaland first goalscorer @ 9/4
Haaland loves beginning the season in explosive fashion. It may not be, statistically, his most prolific start but the Norway international has still bagged nine goals in seven fixtures.
He has scored seven of them in the last five games, and people are already wondering if he could be in a position to match or break Jamie Vardy's record from 2015/16, when he scored in 11 successive Premier League matches.
It's still early to say but he's in excellent form and I think he's worth backing to score the opening goal on Saturday - something he has managed in four of the six league matches played this campaign.
