Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction: Spurs attack to give Pickford tough day

Sunday 26th October 2025, 6:00am

Everton’s season has been largely inconsistent to date. Flashes of brilliance at times but not enough to thrust the blue half of Merseyside into the top half of the Premier League. Defeat last weekend to Manchester City at the Etihad last weekend went to form, now the Toffees need to be in form this Sunday. This is the Sky Super Sunday main game with kick-off set for 16:30.

The reason for the required uptick in performance is due to the visit of Tottenham and although they stuttered at home to Aston Villa seven days ago, Thomas Frank’s men continued their unbeaten Champions League run with a hard-fought draw at Monaco and with that as a springboard, they will be keen to return to winning ways domestically.  Let's get into my match preview and all-important Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions...

Team News

After Jack Grealish was ineligible for Everton's visit to Manchester City last Saturday, the Etihad loanee is expected to slot straight back into David Moyes' plans. When last available for his current employers, the former Aston Villa starlet bagged a winning goal at the expense of Crystal Palace.

Apart from the installation of Grealish into Everton's attacking setup, there are no other expected changes for the hosts. Carlos Alcaraz being dropped down to the bench but the other 10 starters against Manchester City all set to start at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday.

As for the visitors, their starting eleven after the midweek stalemate with Monaco is likely to be unchanged – for the simple reason that manager Thomas Frank is not in a position to make many changes before the trip to Everton.

The injury list that hampered Spurs in the Champions League on Wednesday, it is not getting any shorter before Sunday. A spirited performance in Europe from Tottenham's patched up personnel will now have to be matched when the North London outfit make the long trip north to Merseyside.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineups

  • Everton: Pickford, O'Brien, Mykolenko, Keane, Tarkowski, Garner; Gueye; Ndiaye, Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall, Beto
  • Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario, Porro, Danso, van de Ven, Gray, Bentancur, Palhinha, Kudus, Bergvall, Odobert, Richarlison

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Everton are priced as favourites at 7/5 to win this game, with Tottenham priced as the 2/1 underdogs. That gives the home team an implied win probability of 41.7% while a draw can be backed at 12/5.

BTTS has been priced at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is 10/11, while Beto is the favourite to score first at 5/1.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur Stats

  • Everton are undefeated in their last seven home games against Tottenham in all competitions.
  • Tottenham have scored at least two goals in six of their last sevens meetings with the Toffees in all competitions.

Tottenham Draw No Bet @ 11/10

In recent years, Everton have had nothing but home comforts when it comes to the visit of Spurs. Goodison Park serving as a fortress against the North London outfit but the Goodison factor is no longer on offer. Something to factor in when looking at where the value lies before Sunday's clash.

David Moyes' men are still unbeaten when it comes to their new surroundings and although all signs point to an Everton win because of recent and historical form, all trends have to end at some point. Therefore a Tottenham win in the Draw No Bet market is certainly worth a lengthy look before kickoff.

Tottenham Over 1.5 goals @ 13/8

While if Tottenham are to win, they are going to have to excel in attack. I cannot see Everton drawing a blank on Sunday – even if they fail to earn anything for their efforts and therefore, I think backing Spurs to score at least twice is where some of your smart money should go.

A feat that Tottenham achieved in their last away league outing as they got the better of Leeds by two goals to one at Elland Road. After watching this team twice over the last seven days, you get the feeling that a breakout performance is needed and Sunday would be the perfect time to offer it.
