Chelsea vs Wolves Stats-Based Bet Builder Tips: Managerless Wolves to cause shock?

Chelsea got a big away win at Tottenham Hotspur last weekend in a London derby, and they will fancy their chances of backing that up on Saturday night as they host Wolves (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event). Wolves are currently rooted to the bottom of the table and managerless, with Middlesbrough boss Rob Edwards seemingly their top target.

Okay, let me start by saying this is a bit of a rogue shout - obviously. Wolves have picked up just two points from 10 Premier League matches and they’ve conceded a whopping 22 goals, scoring just seven. That’s the reason Vitor Pereira lost his job after they lost 3-0 to Fulham last weekend. 

With Edwards’ arrival seemingly imminent, the players will be desperate to prove a point before he takes charge. Also, these two met at the end of October and Wolves gave a great account of themselves, eventually losing 4-3 at home in the Carabao Cup, after coming from three goals down at half-time. 

They will want to prove a point and show that relegation isn’t a certainty  - plus, I just don’t trust Chelsea this season. They got a vital win at Spurs but then failed to beat Qarabag in the Champions League in midweek. If we add the fact that they had to go all the way to Azerbaijan in midweek while Wolves were resting, I think a shock could be on the cards. I don’t think the price on offer for a Chelsea win is worth backing, so I will oppose that with this double chance selection.

Goals? Sure. It was 4-3 the last time these two met, and I can see both teams scoring at Stamford Bridge. Four of the last six Wolves games have ended with BTTS, while six of Chelsea’s 10 league outings have seen both teams find the net. 

I don’t trust either defence given what we have seen this term, and this boosts our odds quite a bit for the Bet Builder.
