Chelsea vs Arsenal Prediction: Back Cucurella to see Yellow

As we close out November, not many people would have earmarked Chelsea’s hosting of Arsenal as a top of the table clash. Then again, this season has already thrown up a whole host of surprises before the advent calendars open their doors.
Chelsea’s rise up the table has gone under the radar but at the same time, the table does not lie. The Blues the best of the rest before the weekend’s activity gets underway, now they will look to be the best when league leaders Arsenal make their way from North to West London. This is the Sky Sports Super Sunday clash at 16:30 and you can check out Dan Tracey's preview and Chelsea vs Arsenal Predictions below...

Team News
Hosts Chelsea come in to this top of the table clash with a relatively clean bill of health. The likes of Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia are still out for some time, Cole Palmer's absence elongated by the fracturing of his toe when relaxing at home.
As for Enzo Maresca, he can be rather relaxed when selecting his starting eleven. Even with the multitude of signings that constantly arrive at Stamford Bridge, the team is now starting to look settled. However, Jamie Gittins and Andrey Santos are likely to make way for Alejandro Garnacho and Moises Caicedo.
As for the visitors, there are questions marks surrounding the fitness of Leandro Trossard. The Belgian has been a key component of Arsenal's recent momentum and has chipped in with very important goals during that spell.
None more important than the opener in last weekend's North London derby - the same game in which Noni Madueke made his long-awaited return from injury. Should Trossard be unavailable for the second all-capital clash in as many weeks, a straight swap for the former Chelsea man is expected.
Chelsea vs Arsenal Predicted Lineups
- Chelsea: Sanchez, James, Chalobah, Tosin, Cucarella, Caicedo, Enzo, Neto, Joao Pedro, Garnacho, Delap
- Arsenal: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Hincapie, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Rice, Saka, Eze, Madueke, Merino
Chelsea are priced at 23/10 to win this game, with Arsenal the favourites at 5/4. That gives the away team an implied win probability of 44.4% while a draw can be backed at 12/5.
BTTS has been priced at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is 10/11, while Eberechi Eze is the favourite to score first of those who are declared fully fit. He can backed at odds of 13/2.

Chelsea vs Arsenal Prediction 1 - Arsenal win and Under 3.5 Goals @ 2/1
Before Sunday's trip to Stamford Bridge, Arsenal have avoided defeat in each of their last seven league meetings with Chelsea. You must go back as far as August 2021 to see a Blues win etched in the history books and with such a lengthy run in progress, it is not one I envisage being broken.
Not only that, but I think Arsenal go back across the capital with all three points. Three points to their name, a maximum of three total goals scored to add some meat to the bones. That way, even an encounter where both teams score can still be ticked off if the Gunners win 2-1 on Sunday.

Chelsea vs Arsenal Prediction 2 - Marc Cucurella to be booked @ 12/5
While the meeting of Chelsea and Arsenal seems to spark Marc Cucurella into life. The Spanish defender is known for walking a disciplinary tight rope from time to time and I think Sunday will be one of those occasions where he will be admonished by the match official.
The former Brighton defender has collected three yellow cards in all his previous run-ins with Mikel Arteta's men – a trio collected within the space of just five encounters. A 60% hit rate thus far, to go alongside an average of 1.8 fouls per game when Chelsea face Arsenal. With those numbers considered, I think a Cucurella yellow is an incredible bit of value.
