Brentford vs West Ham Prediction: Irons can come away with an important three points

Brentford's drawing streak in the Premier League was ended on Monday as they fell to defeat at Manchester United. The Bees are back at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, with West Ham United making the trip across London (15:00 BST).

The Irons were victorious at home to Everton last time out but they still find themselves just two points above the relegation zone. Read on for my Brentford vs West Ham predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Vitaly Janelt (metatarsal), Jordan Henderson (knock), Fabio Carvalho, Antoni Milambo (both knee) and Rico Henry (hamstring) remain out of action for Brentford.

Keith Andrews is likely going to stick with the same team that lost to Man United, but the likes of Reiss Nelson, Aaron Hickey and Kritoffer Ajer will be pushing for starts on Saturday.

West Ham travel to west London with no fresh injury concerns, so Nuno Espirito Santo has a clean bill of health heading into the weekend.

Two wins from three should give them plenty of confidence heading to Brentford, particularly given the form that the Bees are in right now. The hosts are six matches without a win in the top flight, which is also the same number of home fixtures they have failed to pick up three points in the league.

West Ham have managed three victories from their past seven road trips in the league, and given that they need a result much more than Brentford, I think they are worth backing to edge this contest. But for insurance, I am using the Draw No Bet market.

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek scored his side's first goal against Everton and he is going to be a leader out on the pitch in these last four fixtures. The Czech Republic international is an attractive 11/8 (implied probability of 42.1%) price to have at least one shot on target on Saturday.

Soucek has registered 21 efforts in the league this campaign and 12 of them have tested the goalkeeper. He managed two shots against the Toffees last weekend, and I think he can be busy in and around the final third in what is another crunch clash for the Hammers.
