Bournemouth vs Leeds Prediction: Goals the order of the day on the South Coast

Leeds United took a major step towards survival as they hammered Wolves 3-0 last time out to take themselves to 15th in the league, eight points clear of the bottom three. 

They have a tricky run of fixtures coming up, with Bournemouth next on the agenda on Wednesday night (20:00 BST, Sky Sports Premier League). Below you can find my Bournemouth vs Leeds predictions. 

Team News

Bournemouth have appointed Marco Rose as their new manager, and he will take over from Andoni Iraola this summer. The squad will want to impress then, with Lewis Cook (thigh) and Julio Soler (thigh) both back in training ahead of this one. 

Alex Scott and Ryan Christie should play in midfield after their good performances, with Tyler Adams a solid option from the bench.  Eli Jr. Kroupi, Evanilson, James Tavernier and Rayan should play as the front four. 

Daniel Farke is hoping that Anton Stach and Daniel James will soon return to action, but this game may be too much of an ask. Joe Rodon was back in action at the weekend and could start in defence. 

Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have struck up a tasty partnership up top and will continue in attack, while James Justin will start again having found the net against Wolves.

Bournemouth are the favourites for this clash, priced at 21/20 while Leeds are 12/5 to take the win. A draw is 13/5, over 2.5 goals is 8/11 and BTTS is 8/13.

Over 3.5 goals @ 7/4

This game feels like one that should contain plenty of goals, given the strength of both attacks. The last three Bournemouth games in the Premier League have finished with three or more goals, while six of Leeds' 16 Premier League away games this season have gone over 3.5 goals. 

With Calvert-Lewin and Okafor both in flying form, I think Leeds will certainly land a few blows on Bournemouth, while the hosts have seen both teams score in their last three and have such a vibrant team that will want to impress their new incoming manager. Goals should be on the cards.
