With this game sandwiched between both legs of Aston Villa's Europa League semi-final showdown with Nottingham Forest, Tottenham will be hoping that the hosts take their eye off the ball.

Spurs finally picked up a win last weekend, but they were unable to jump out of the bottom three. West Ham's defeat on Saturday has opened the door for De Zerbi's side to move out of danger, but they would need a major improvement on their performance at bottom side Wolves last weekend. Boubacar Kamara is Villa's only absentee heading into Sunday's clash, but they could be forced into changes as they juggle a busy week. The Villans will want a fresh side as they look to turn things around against Forest on Thursday, so Unai Emery could rotate.

Tottenham lost Xavi Simons for the season last time out, and their injury list continues to be on the longer side. Cristian Romeo, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke have been ruled out of this trip to Villa Park.

Villa have picked up four wins from four at home to the bottom five this season, and they are capable of completing the set. Their squad depth is surely the envy of an injury-hit Spurs side, and the visitors are struggling to get going under De Zerbi.

Spurs created 0.22 Expected Goals from open play at 20th-placed Wolves, and the relegated side matched them with two shots on target.

With little sign of a new manager bounce for the visitors, Villa appeal at 11/10 to pick up a 12th home win of the campaign.
