We’ve got six sizzling Premier League fixtures coming our way on Saturday afternoon with Manchester City vs Chelsea the headline act at 17:30. To provide you with some tips for your betting, I’ve taken a look at each match and picked out some key Premier League stats for you to consider.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest

A brilliant clash between two in-form sides takes place on Saturday afternoon at 15:00. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last nine league meetings with Nottingham Forest (W5 D4) since a 2-1 away loss in the Championship, while they are currently on a run of 11 games in all competitions without defeat.

Andoni Iraola has done a superb job and Bournemouth are priced at 21/20 to win this one, while Nottingham Forest are priced at 12/5 to win their eighth away game of the campaign. Only Liverpool (27) have collected more points than Forest (23) on the road this term and it is that form that has carried them up to third in the table.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest Stats

  • Bournemouth unbeaten in their last 11 in all competitions
  • Forest have won the second-most points in away PL matches this season (23)
  • Ryan Christie has been booked in three of his last four games

We’ve got two in-form forwards to take a look at as well as Chris Wood, with 14 goals to his name, faces off against Justin Kluivert, who took his total to 10 with a hat-trick at Newcastle last time out. Wood has 14 from 23 shots on target and 41 total shots, and is priced at 5/1 to open the scoring while Kluivert is the same price to score first on home soil.

Two Ryans may be worth considering for the cards market, with Ryan Christie leading the way with eight bookings this season, and Ryan Yates close behind him with six. The Bournemouth man has been booked in three of his last four matches. Both midfielders have made 37 fouls this term, but that isn’t as many as Antoine Semenyo, who has made 42 and could be worth looking at for your Bet Builder.

Wolves vs Arsenal

Arsenal have stuttered in recent weeks with just two weeks from their last six in all competitions, but they will look to close the six-point gap on Liverpool with a victory at Molineux. The Gunners record in away league games reads W5, D4, L2 and they cannot keep dropping points on the road if they are to succeed in their ultimate goal.

They are 4/9 to beat Wolves on Saturday, while the hosts are 11/2 to register just their third home win of the campaign. Wolves have lost their last three league fixtures, scoring once in that time, but they did beat Manchester United at home on Boxing Day and will look to take confidence from that result.

Wolves vs Arsenal Stats

  • Wolves have lost their last three league fixtures, scoring just once
  • Matheus Cunha ranks joint-ninth in the PL for shots on target (24)
  • Kai Havertz is Arsenal’s top scorer (8), and has committed the most fouls (35)

Both Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen surprisingly rank in the top 10 of the Premier League for shots on target, with 24 apiece - or over one per match. Cunha has 10 goals from his endevours, with Larsen at seven, so both may be worth considering adding to your Bet Builder for a shot at goal. Cunha is priced at 11/4 to score at anytime which feels like good value considering his quality.

From an Arsenal perspective, Kai Havertz remains an interesting prospect on all fronts. He’s committed the most fouls of any Arsenal player (35), scored the most goals (8) and had the joint-most shots on target (18). Get him involved in your Bet Builder for this game one way or another, he’s also the 9/2 favourite to open the scoring.

Brighton vs Everton

Brighton are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions following four successive draws with three wins on the bounce. They impressively beat Manchester United 3-1, and are priced at 8/13 to win this one, while Everton have only won one away game this term and can be backed at 4/1.

David Moyes oversaw a 3-2 win over Spurs last time out however, to boost their goalscoring statistics. They have still only scored 18 goals in 21 Premier League games so far, and are the lowest away scorers having found the net just six times away from Goodison Park. Brighton are priced at 5/4 to keep a clean sheet if you fancy that to continue on the South Coast.

Brighton vs Everton Stats

  • Brighton are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions
  • Everton are the lowest away scorers in the Premier League (6)
  • Pickford and Young have both been booked five times this season

In terms of goalscorers, it may surprise you to know that the top scorer from either side has only scored six this term. That is Danny Welbeck and he is 9/2 to score anytime, while Iliman Ndiaye is Everton’s top marksman with four, and he is 10/1 to open the scoring, having found the net in the win over Spurs.

Jordan Pickford and Ashley Young lead the way in terms of cards with five apiece, and Pickford offers the best value at 5/1 to pick up a yellow. He could get one for time-wasting if you think the Toffees can keep the game tight heading into the latter stages. Yankubah Minteh is Brighton’s top offender with four yellows, and he is 3/1 to make it five this weekend.

Liverpool vs Ipswich Town

Having gone seven for seven in the Champions League, Liverpool will look to take that momentum into the league. They’ve still only lost once this season, to Nottingham Forest at Anfield in September, which means their unbeaten run in the Premier League has now reached 17 matches.

They are the top scorers in the league with 50, five more than any other team has managed, while Mo Salah remains the top scorer with 18 goals and 13 assists to his name. He’s just 4/9 to score anytime and 9/4 to score first, while Liverpool are priced at 1/12 to win this game.

Liverpool vs Ipswich Stats

  • Liverpool haven’t lost in the Premier League since September (17 matches)
  • Mo Salah has 18 goals and 13 assists this season
  • Liverpool have won their last three league games against Ipswich by an aggregate score of 13-0

Ipswich (18/1) face a massive task then, but they have won two of their 10 away matches this season. They were hammered 6-0 by Man City last time out, while they have also lost 4-0 to Newcastle in recent weeks. Their recent away form has been far stronger than their home form however, as they have picked up four points from their last three games on the road, and their last two away defeats have only been by a 1-0 scoreline.

Sam Morsy leads the way for cards with seven, and having committed 37 fouls he is a good shout to get booked at 7/4. It’s going to be a tough afternoon however, Liverpool have won their last 10 Premier League home games against promoted sides by an aggregate score of 34-7 since a 1-0 loss to Fulham in March 2021 - and their last three against Ipswich by a combined score of 13-0.

Southampton vs Newcastle United

Southampton’s survival already looks to be practically impossible, given they have picked up just six league points so far. They’ve only won one game, and that came at home, but they are currently on a run of five straight defeats, in which they have conceded 14 goals.

They are priced at 6/1 to win this game, while Newcastle can be backed at 4/11 to win their sixth away game of the season. Their run of nine wins in a row was brought to a startling end by Bournemouth last time out as the Cherries hammered Eddie Howe’s men 4-1 at St James’ Park.

Southampton vs Newcastle Stats

  • Southampton have lost their last five, conceding 14 goals during that time
  • No PL team has ever had fewer points at this stage of the season than Saints (6)
  • Only two players have picked up more yellow cards than Joelinton this term (8)

Joelinton has picked up eight bookings, a total only Sasa Lukic and Flynn Downes can beat this season. He’s also committed 43 fouls, the third-highest total in the Premier League, so he is worth considering at 12/5 to pick up a yellow in this fixture.

In terms of goals, Alexander Isak saw his scoring run end against the Cherries, but he is still in the running for the Golden Boot with 15 for this campaign. He’s had 59 shots in total, with 28 shots on target, so may be worth adding to your Bet Builder.

Manchester City vs Chelsea

The big fixture from Saturday sees Manchester City host Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium. City were beaten 4-2 by PSG in midweek to leave their Champions League place in jeopardy, but in the league they look to have improved. They beat Ipswich 6-0 at the weekend, and are unbeaten in their last five (W3 D2).

They are now back in the running for a top four finish, and sit 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool. After a run of just one win in nine Premier League games from the start of November, Pep Guadiola’s men have now won three of their last four. They’ve also ramped things up in front of goal, scoring 14 goals in this run, more than they had in their previous 11 league games (13).

They are 19/20 to win this one and are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games against Chelsea (W5 D2), since a 2-1 home loss in May 2021.

Manchester City vs Chelsea Stats

  • Man City have scored 14 goals in their last five league games
  • City are unbeaten in their last seven vs Chelsea (W5 D2)
  • Cole Palmer has scored 14 goals this season

Chelsea tend to struggle in this fixture, and are priced at 9/4 to secure the win. They’ve failed to win their last three away league games as well, picking up two draws, and Maresca needed that recent win over Wolves to end a run of five games without a win. Cole Palmer will want to make an impact against his former club, and he has 14 goals to his name this term from 34 shots on target. He’s 7/5 to find the net at anytime while Erling Haaland is the favourite to score first at 100/30.
