Arsenal travel to Porto on Wednesday evening (20:00) for their first Champions League knockout game in seven years.

Mikel Arteta's side have put their poor festive form behind them, and come into this game on a remarkable run, winning five league games in a row, scoring 21 goals in the process.

Porto, meanwhile, are predictably involved in a three-way battle for the Portuguese title with Sporting Lisbon and Benfica, and sit in third after a weekend win over Estrela.

Porto vs Arsenal Prediction

  • Arsenal to win to nil @ 13/8
  • Bukayo Saka to score anytime @ 15/8

Team News

Zaidu Sanusi was stretchered off in the 32nd minute with a complete anterior cruciate ligament rupture in Porto's triumph over Estrela last time out, and he looks set to be out for the remainder of the season.

Stephen Eustaquio wasn't involved at all at the weekend, and it remains unclear whether he'll be fit enough to feature on Wednesday night.

As for the Gunners, Emile Smith Rowe battled back from an ankle injury to make the bench against Burnley, but Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain doubts.

Match Odds

Porto are 9/2 to claim a home victory, the draw is 11/4 and Arsenal are 4/6 to take a win back to the Emirates.

Both teams to score is priced up at 10/11 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at the same price.

Arsenal to win to nil @ 13/8

Arsenal return to continental action having won 11-0 across their last two away games, which has reinvigorated their Premier League title hopes. Arteta’s side look free-flowing going forward, while they’ve conceded only twice across their five-game winning run.

The Gunners should feel confident of continuing their recent road success against a Porto side who have drawn blanks at home to both Barcelona and Inter Milan across their last four at home in the Champions League.

In addition, the Portuguese side have endured some issues in the league of late, recently losing to Arouca, so I'm backing a comfortable Arsenal win here.

Arsenal to win to nil at 13-8

Bukayo Saka to score anytime @ 15/8

Bukayo Saka has been in excellent form in the Champions League so far this season, with three goals and four assists in the group stages.

No player has been involved in more goals in the competition this term and the winger is averaging a goal or an assist every 48 minutes in Europe.

The England international has scored six times in Arsenal's last four outings, so the winger looks well-priced to bag here anytime.

Bukayo Saka to score anytime at 15-8
