Port Vale vs Wycombe Prediction: Wanderers can add to Valiants’ woes

Port Vale’s battle to avoid the drop from League One continues on Tuesday night when they play host to Wycombe Wanderers at Vale Park (19:45). Wycombe suffered Wembley heartbreak at the hands of Peterborough United in the EFL Trophy but have responded well since with a draw against Derby County and a win over Shrewsbury Town last time out.

Dan Gore, Mitch Clark and James Wilson are all set to miss out for Darren Moore’s Port Vale, while Ryan Loft is a doubt as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury.

Uche Ikpeazu recently returned from a shoulder injury and after coming through the clash against Exeter City without any problems, he should start on Tuesday night.

As for Wycombe, manager Matt Bloomfield must continue without the injured trio of Kane Vincent-Young, Brandon Hanlan and Saxon Earley.

Vale Park has been a happy hunting ground for the Chairboys in recent years, winning on their last two visits, including a 3-0 victory last time they clashed in Burslem.

Given Port Vale’s form in recent months, Wycombe are well priced to make it three wins on the spin at Vale Park in this one.

No attacking player has scored more league goals for Wycombe than Dale Taylor this season and the forward, who is on loan from Nottingham Forest, can add to his five League One goals for the campaign on Tuesday night.
