Poland and Czech Republic go head-to-head in Warsaw on Friday evening (19:45) in a crucial Euro 2024 qualifier.

The hosts need a win to have any chance of securing a place at next summer's tournament, while the visitors can seal qualification if they win and Moldova drop points against Albania.

Poland vs Czech Republic Prediction

  • Draw and Under 2.5 Goals @ 13/5
  • Robert Lewandowski to score anytime @ 5/4

Team News

Aston Villa's Matty Cash has withdrawn from the Poland squad, while Sebastian Walukiewicz is also absent with injury.

Kamil Piatkowski remains a long-term absentee, and

As for the visitors, they will be without their goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka and Sparta Prague captain Ladislav Krejci due to injury for their final two qualifiers. However, Mojmir Chytil is back from suspension following his red card against Albania.

Match Odds

Poland are 7/5 to claim the win, while the Czech Republic are 21/10 to secure the three points, with the draw being the same price.

Punters can back both teams to score at 5/6, while under 2.5 goals is priced up at 8/13.

Draw and Under 2.5 Goals @ 13/5

With this being such a crucial tie for both sides, I can see a tightly-contested affair playing out in Warsaw, so I'm going to back a low-scoring draw.

The hosts played out a 1-1 draw at home to Moldova last time out and face a Czech Republic side who know that a point could be enough to seal qualification, and they certainly won't want to lose here.

In addition, under 2.5 goals has landed in six of Poland’s last seven games, as well as in each of their last seven competitive home ties, while fewer than three goals have been scored in three of the Czech Republic's last four matches.

Robert Lewandowski to score anytime @ 5/4

Poland's star striker is their primary source of goals, and the country's hopes will be pinned on his shoulders come Friday night.

The Barcelona forward has three goals in his last three appearances for the national team, as well as eight strikes in 14 appearances across all competitions for the Catalonian club this term.

He certainly knows where the back of the net is, and with Poland needing a victory, the former Bayern Munich man will be motivated to deliver.
