Partizan vs Dynamo Kyiv Prediction: Hosts to hit back after Lublin loss

After tearing Partizan apart 6-2 in last week's first leg in Lublin, Poland, Dynamo Kyiv head to Serbia on Wednesday (19:00) for the second leg of their Champions League second-round qualifier knowing that only a monumental collapse will deny them a place in the next round.
Read on for my Partizan vs Dynamo Kyiv prediction to see whether I'm backing the hosts to do the unthinkable at Stadion Partizana in Belgrade.
Team News
Partizan made five changes to their starting XI for Saturday's 4-0 win at Jedinstvo in the Super Liga. Nemanja Trifunovic, Bibars Natcho and Djordje Jovanovic (x2) were all on the scoresheet and gave head coach Igor Duljaj something to consider ahead of Wednesday's second leg.
Brazilian forward Saldanha scored both of Partizan's goals in the first leg and is expected to return to the line-up after being rested against Jedinstvo.
Dynamo's league season doesn't start until Saturday so the Ukrainians have had a week to recover from last week's win in Lublin. Head coach Olexandr Shovkovsky could therefore name an unchanged XI headlined by former West Ham United winger Andriy Yarmolenko.
Five of Dynamo's strikes last week came from five different starters - Mykola Shaparenko, Volodymyr Brazhko, Oleksandr Karavaev, Vladyslav Kabaev and Denys Popov - while Oleksandr Pikhalyonok was their only scorer from the bench.

Partizan are 11/4 to exact revenge - of sorts - by triumphing in regulation time on Wednesday, giving them an implied win probability of 26.7%, while Dynamo are 8/11, or a 57.9% chance, to do the double over their Serbian opponents.
The draw can be backed at 3/1, both teams to score at 8/13, and over 3.5 total goals at 6/4.
Partizan To Win @ 11/4
Dynamo won convincingly in last week's first leg, hitting six goals past Partizan.
However, it shouldn't be forgotten that Partizan did take the lead in Poland through a 22nd-minute Saldanha penalty, and it took the Ukrainians 18 minutes to find an equaliser. The Serbian side subsequently collapsed, conceding a further two times before the interval, and then also lost the second half 3-1, too.
Clearly, there is a substantial gulf in quality between these two teams, and Dynamo are a club that will expect to advance from the qualifying rounds, rather than hope like Partizan.
But with a four-goal lead heading into Belgrade, there is a danger that they could take their foot off the pedal and allow Partizan to score a couple of goals again.
Dynamo also start their league campaign this weekend, so there could be a temptation on the part of Shovkovsky to make a few changes with the tie seemingly already won. I'm not sure that will necessarily be the case, but it is something to bear in mind, and at 11/4, Partizan are a terrific price to back at home.
Highest Scoring Half - Second Half @ 1/1
Partizan should be raring to go at Dynamo from the off on Wednesday, but they also have to be mindful that the tie could be completely killed before half-time if they go too gung-ho. Furthermore, one would expect the visitors to adopt a fairly cautious approach, to begin with, knowing that they can afford to be patient and wait for their opponents to take the game to them.
The contest should really open up in the second 45 minutes as the task in front of Partizan will be laid bare. If they are still a few goals behind in the tie they will have to play forward with real urgency, and while that should increase their chances of troubling the Dynamo backline, it will also make them vulnerable to counter-attacks as the Ukrainians look to kill the tie.
