Parma vs Juventus Prediction: All square between stalemate specialists

The passing of Pope Francis on Easter Monday led to the postponement of four Serie A fixtures, all of which have been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 23. One of the games is between Parma and Juventus, who meet at the former's Stadio Ennio Tardini, live on TNT Sports 1 at 17:30.
Below are my Parma vs Juventus predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, as the hosts seek to move further away from the relegation zone, and the visitors aim to overtake Bologna in the race for Uefa Champions League football next season.

Team News
Parma head coach Christian Chivu said at Saturday's pre-match press conference that there were doubts over the fitness of Matteo Cancellieri (thigh) and Botond Balogh (unspecified), although the extra two days' rest may have improved their chances of featuring against Juventus.
Yordan Osorio (back), Valentin Mihaila (thigh), Mateusz Kowalski (knee), Adrian Benedyczak (ankle) and Gabriel Charpentier (Achilles) are all set to miss out, however.
Pontus Almqvist is back available, though, after serving a suspension in Parma's goalless draw at Fiorentina on April 13.
Parma vs Juventus Stats
- Only Juve (14) have drawn more Serie A games than Parma (13) this season
- October H2H finished 2-2 in Turin
- 16 corners taken in reverse fixture (10 for Juve, six for Parma)
Long-term absentees Juan Cabal, Bremer and Arkadiusz Milik (all knee) remain sidelined for Juventus, while Federico Gatti (calf) and Samuel Mbangula (thigh) are expected to sit out again on Wednesday.
Teun Koopmeiners, who opened the scoring in a 2-1 win over Lecce on April 12, misses out with an Achilles injury. Vasilije Adzic has replaced the Netherlands international in Igor Tudor's squad.
Parma haven't won a game since February 22 and are 4/1 underdogs on Wednesday, implying a 20% chance of success against I Bianconeri, who are 8/11 (57.9%) to chalk up back-to-back wins.
The sides played out a 2-2 draw in Turin last October, and with I Crociati arriving into the reverse fixture on the back of five successive stalemates, another draw may appeal here at 13/5.
Juventus forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Dusan Vlahovic (both 7/4) head the anytime goalscorer market, with Ange-Yoan Bonny (16/5) first up for the hosts.
Match Result - Draw @ 13/5
Juventus and Parma are separated by 31 points in the Serie A table, but the clubs are bonded by their propensity for a stalemate. Only I Bianconeri (14) have drawn more league games this season than Parma (13), who have seen their last five games end on level terms.
Those draws include a 2-2 at home to reigning champions and current leaders Inter, and a trip to European hopefuls Fiorentina (0-0), so they haven't just been achieved against the weaker sides.
Juventus, meanwhile, drew their last away game at AS Roma (1-1), which was their first Serie A stalemate since January 14, although they have drawn twice in other competitions since.
Parma took the lead twice in Turin last October, with Enrico Del Prato and Simon Sohm striking either side of an effort from Weston McKennie; Timothy Weah scored Juve's second equaliser in the 49th minute.
The visitors are clearly favourites to win on Wednesday and will be confident of claiming all three points following a three-game unbeaten run that has included two victories.
However, while Parma are on a long winless run, they have made themselves difficult to beat and could frustrate their next opponents.

Corner Over/Under - Over 9.5 @ 1/1
Parma (10.7) are one of just three teams whose games average over 10 corners, and Chivu's side are top of the pile in that regard.
Juventus (9.3) feature in the bottom half of that particular table, but their last match, against Lecce, saw 13 corners awarded - nine in their favour - and only four clubs have taken more per game than I Bianconeri (4.9).
Parma, unsurprisingly, concede more corners per game (six) than any other side.
There were a whopping 16 corners whistled in October's head-to-head with Juve awarded 10 and Parma given six, so over 9.5 looks fairly generous here at 1/1.
