Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle United Prediction: Hall to collect another City Ground card

Three wins on the spin have Nottingham Forest in third place heading into gameweek 11 of the 2024/25 Premier League season, a simply stunning achievement mastermind by head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who was rewarded with the Manager of the Month award for October.
The Tricky Trees' final assignment before the November international break comes on Sunday (14:00, Sky Sports Main Event) when Newcastle United provide the opposition at the City Ground. Below is my Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle United prediction, complete with all the latest team news and match odds.
Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle United Betting Tips
Team News
Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo are still in the treatment room for Nottingham Forest, but on-loan midfielder James Ward-Prowse is back available after being ineligible to face parent club West Ham United last Saturday.
Morgan Gibbs-White returned to the Forest starting XI in the 3-0 victory over the Irons and is expected to keep his spot on Sunday, meaning former Newcastle United midfielder Elliot Anderson may have to settle for a place on the bench again.
Fellow former Magpie Chris Wood, meanwhile, is looking to score in his fifth consecutive appearance.
Newcastle will be without Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles, Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson for Sunday's trip to the East Midlands, but Jacob Murphy should be able to shake off the hamstring injury that has kept him out of wins over Chelsea and Arsenal, the first a 2-0 victory in the Carabao Cup and the second a Premier League success last Saturday.
Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes may be restricted to substitute outings again given the terrific result achieved with last weekend's starting XI.

Nottingham Forest are 7/4 to triumph at the City Ground on Sunday, giving the hosts an implied win probability of 36.4%, while Newcastle are slight favourites at 13/8 (38.1%).
A draw is priced at 12/5, both teams to score at 4/6, and over 2.5 total goals at 10/11.
Magpies striker Alexander Isak is 7/4 favourite in the anytime goalscorer market followed by Forest duo Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi (both 15/8).
Player to Receive a Card - Lewis Hall (NEW) @ 11/4
An opposition full-back/wing-back has been booked in seven of Forest's 10 Premier League games this season, with Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City), Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea), Kenny Tete (Fulham), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Toti (Wolves) and Milos Kerkez (AFC Bournemouth) all cautioned against the Tricky Trees.
With Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who have been fouled an average of 0.9 and 0.8 times per game, respectively, often starting out wide, perhaps it's unsurprising that defenders have had to take alternative action to deal with their pace and trickery.
Valentino Livramento and Lewis Hall are the men tasked with containing the duo on Sunday, and in fairness to the former, he very rarely gives away free-kicks, averaging just 0.3 fouls per game in the Premier League this season, and is yet to be carded.
Hall, however, has been shown three yellows in just seven starts and was also booked in Newcastle's Carabao Cup success at the City Ground on August 28.
The 20-year-old, who received his first England senior team call-up this week, looks a good bet to pick up another caution this weekend.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Bet Builder - Murillo (NFO) 2+ Shots & Nottingham Forest Over 3.5 Corners @ 6/1
This exact bet landed at 7/1 last week, the second of two successful tips in my Nottingham Forest v West Ham preview. The odds have dropped slightly to 6/1 this Sunday - no surprise given this has been a winner in Forest's last two games now.
The first occurrence was in the 3-1 win at Leicester City on October 25 when Forest won seven corners, two of which preceded a shot from Brazilian centre-back Murillo.
Forest won a mammoth 10 corners at home to West Ham last week and with their eighth, Murillo had his second shot of the game, having previously seen an effort gone high and wide in the first half following a free-kick situation.
Murillo has shown a willingness to shoot from wherever and it feels like his first goal of the season is only around the corner.
I'm not predicting it to be this weekend, but I do think he's worth backing to have another couple of shots on Sunday. The 22-year-old also registered two efforts in a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on October 6 and had a strike saved by Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson 15 days later.
Two Murillo shots have landed in three of his last four games and I think he could be in for a fourth in five this weekend.
Forest, meanwhile, are averaging 5.4 corners taken per game in this season's Premier League, and have won at least six in their last four matches at the City Ground, so four feels more than achievable at home to the Magpies, who conceded seven to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, six to Fulham at Craven Cottage, four to Wolves at Molineux, and eight to Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.
