Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace Prediction: Stalemate looks likely

Nottingham Forest welcome Crystal Palace to the City Ground in the Premier League on Monday (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event), looking to get back to winning ways after going three games without a victory.
Crystal Palace are still waiting for their first three points of the season and they have drawn three of their last five. Read on for my Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace prediction, including the latest match odds and team news.
Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace Odds
Forest are 7/5 to win this clash, giving them an implied probability of 41.7%. Crystal Palace are valued at 2/1, which gives them a theoretical chance of 33.3%. The draw can be backed at 12/5 (29.4%).
Both teams to score is available at 4/5 and over 2.5 goals is on offer at 11/10.
Forest striker Chris Wood has scored four goals in the Premier League this season and he is 9/2 to open the scoring, or 15/8 to score anytime on Monday night.
Team News
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo will not be on the touchline for this one as he serves a suspension following comments he made after his side's draw with Brighton & Hove Albion last month.
Morgan Gibbs-White has also been handed a further suspension for his reaction to being sent off in that match, so he will be unable to face the Eagles. Another Forest player out with a ban is James Ward-Prowse, who was sent off against Chelsea last time out.
Goalkeeper Matz Sels is an injury doubt for this clash, while Danilo and Ibrahim Sanghare remain in the treatment room.
Wood should continue to lead the line for the hosts after his fine scoring start to the season. He will likely be accompanied by Callum Hudson-Odoi and Elliot Anderson, although Anthony Elanga will be hoping to force his way back into the side at the expense of the latter.
For Crystal Palace, they have no fresh concerns heading into this match. There were concerns over the availability of both Daniel Munoz and Adam Wharton, but Oliver Glasner has stated that both have been in training ahead of this match.
The Palace boss has a decision to make up front between Eddie Nketiah and last season's top scorer Jean-Philippe Mateta, although he could be tempted to deploy them both as the Eagles are still waiting for their first win of the season.
Eberechi Eze and Ismaila Sarr should keep their places on the flanks for the visitors.
Draw @ 12/5
Neither of these sides have been pulling up any trees this season with just two wins between them. Forest have taken both of them, so the onus will be on them to set the tempo on home soil on Monday.
The Tricky Trees are winless in their last three, however, and they have picked up two draws along the way. The Eagles have lost their last two but had drawn their previous three matches. I don't think there is much to separate the two teams heading into this match. The hosts have had a better start to the season but Palace have shown they can get results, even if three points continue to evade them.
Glasner is trying to get his side back to the way they were playing when he took the reins last season, and it feels like they need to get a win sooner rather than later, otherwise they could spiral.
They have shown in recent weeks that they have what it takes to put points on the board, so I think we could see them earn another draw here.

Under 2.5 goals @ 4/6
I don't think we will be in for a lot of goals in this one because Palace have seen less than three goals scored in four of their seven Premier League matches this season. Although, under 2.5 goals has landed just once in their three trips on the road in this campaign.
For Forest, under 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in six of their seven fixtures in the top-flight this term, and all three of their encounters at the City Ground have seen less than three goals scored. It is also worth noting that under 2.5 goals has landed in their last two league appearances.
Both these sides are struggling for consistency in the Premier League, and I can see the two sides cancelling each other out in Nottingham. As mentioned above, I believe we could be in for a draw on Monday night, and I think that we could be in for a low-scoring affair as a result.
