Norwich vs Preston Prediction: Sargent to guide Canaries to victory

Norwich City extended their unbeaten run to three games against Derby County last week and will hope to break into the Championship play-off spots on Tuesday (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event) when they face a Preston North End side who were taken to penalties in their FA Cup tie with Wycombe on Saturday.
Read on for my Norwich vs Preston predictions, accompanied by the latest match odds and team news.
Norwich vs Preston Betting Tips
Norwich are 8/11 favourites to take all three points from mid-table Preston, who are 4/1 to win and 13/5 to share the spoils with their hosts.
Both teams to score is on offer at even money, with over 2.5 goals a slightly longer 11/10.
Team News
Borja Sainz is expected to return to the starting line-up after completing his lengthy suspension and new arrival Matej Jurasek could also make his debut.
However, Gabriel Forsyth, Liam Gibbs, Onel Hernandez, and Amankwah Forson are all sidelined for City.
Preston only have one confirmed absentee in Benjamin Whiteman, but Jack Whatmough and Lewis Gibson are both doubts after picking up knocks at the weekend, while Will Keane and Emil Riis are also doubtful.
Norwich to win & both teams to score @ 3/1
A draw at home to Derby made it seven points from three games for Norwich, and victory on Wednesday could see them move into the Championship play-off positions ahead of their weekend trip to Hull.
The Canaries are unbeaten in five home league games and have won three of those, but they are without a clean sheet at Carrow Road since the start of October, conceding 15 times in their 10 Championship home assignments since a shutout against Hull.
Preston have looked in decent shape lately, but they were involved in a tiring 120-minute affair against Wycombe on Saturday while their opponents rested, and their away record leaves a lot to be desired.
The Lilywhites have won just two of their 15 second-tier trips this term but, with only three failures to score in that period, they should at least get on the scoresheet against Norwich.

Josh Sargent to score anytime @ 13/8
Borja Sainz is the favourite to find the back of the net as he returns from his ban, but Norwich's top scorer hasn't found the net since the end of November and the in-form Josh Sargent is preferred at longer odds.
The 24-year-old USA international has eight goals and five assists across 17 league appearances this season, and seven of his goals have come in eight outings at Carrow Road.
His opener against Derby last week made it four goals in his last three appearances and he could make all the difference on Tuesday.
