Norway and Georgia will go head-to-head on Tuesday night (19.45) at the Ullevaal Stadion, as they continue their respective Euro 2024 qualification campaigns.

The hosts currently sit two points behind second-place Spain having played a game more than La Roja, meaning anything other than a win on Tuesday would be a disaster.

Meanwhile, Georgia head to Oslo off the back of their heaviest-ever defeat, after losing 7-1 to Spain on Saturday.

Erling Haaland was not involved in the host’s victory over Jordan, so no doubt he will be starting here.

Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard will captain the side and likely feature in a three-man midfield alongside Patrick Berg and Fredrik Aursnes.

As for the visitors, there could be some temptation for Willy Sagnol to rotate his side after the heavy defeat to Spain.

Giorgi Chakvetadze could be brought into the starting XI, after coming off the bench to get on the scoresheet last time out.

Norway are yet to keep a clean sheet in Euro 2024 qualifying, and as we have seen with Georgia’s result against Spain, they are prone to conceding goals.

Georgia will be licking their wounds coming into this game, but if the visitors can put that loss behind them, they should be able to match Norway for the majority of the game.

However, I think the key difference for Norway here could be the fact Erling Haaland will be well rested. Nobody wants to face the Manchester City striker at the worst of times, let alone when he’s raring to go.

As mentioned above, the former Borussia Dortmund man will be rested for this game, which makes his threat all the more dangerous.

Norway sorely missed his presence in the reverse fixture in Tbilisi when they were held to a 1-1 draw.

Haaland has 24 goals in 25 caps for his national side, and I’m fully expecting him to bag here. I’ve gone with him to score first as there is more value in backing that then at 4/6 anytime.
