Netherlands vs France Bet Builder Tips: 11/2 for French success

France and the Netherlands will battle it out for a place in the last eight of Euro 2025 on Sunday when they meet at St Jakob-Park in Basel (20:00 BST, ITVX). France have won two out of two and will secure top spot with a point, while the Dutch need to win to stand a chance of progressing after their 4-0 defeat to England.

France to win

I’ve been pretty impressed with France so far in this tournament, with their performance against England in that opener clearly an eye-catching one. They created an xG of 2.34 against the defending champions and battered them from start to finish to set out their stall in this group.

It’s given them a massive opportunity to top this quartet, and I think they will make it three wins from three. The Dutch were good against Wales, but the Welsh are clearly the whipping boys of this group and England are likely to hammer them on Sunday as well.

The performance against the Lionesses was way below what was needed, and that 4-0 defeat could have put a bullet in their progression hopes. Despite having Vivianne Miedema up top, I can’t see them getting close to a France side that rotated heavily against Wales and still secured a massive win.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto to score

Marie-Antoinette Katoto was one of several big names to start on the bench against Wales as Laurent Bonadei played it smart against the lowest-ranked side in the group. I’ve got no doubt that she will come back in to lead the line here and I think she should be able to find the net once again. 

Having scored against England, she is clearly an elite striker at international and club level. She scored 17 goals in 35 this season despite picking up a minor injury, and given France have created a high xG (2.34 and 2.55) in both matches so far, she should get plenty of chances to find the net.

Sandy Baltimore to score

Left-winger Sandy Baltimore was also only given 15 minutes off the bench against Wales, but having scored against England, I’d expect her to come back into the XI, fresh, and cause problems. She’s scored six goals in nine games in 2025 for her country and while she only got four in 15 for Chelsea this season, she is being played in a far more attacking role for France. 

I think against a Dutch team that looked very shaky against England, France can take full advantage with a big win. We are getting a decent price of 11/2 for this Bet Builder.
