The Netherlands face Austria at the Olympiastadion in Berlin for their final Group D fixture on Tuesday (17:00, BBC Two) with so much left to be decided. The Oranje are top of the group with four points and Austria are a point behind in third.

They can both seal their place in the last 16 here and it is sure to be a fascinating contest, especially after Austria's impressive win over Poland last time out. Read on for my Netherlands vs Austria bet builder tips.

Austria to win

I was very impressed with Austria in their 3-1 win over Poland, in which they created a lot of goalscoring chances, and this is something I believe could cause the Netherlands problems.

The Dutch didn't turn in the best performance in their goalless stalemate with France on Friday, and they had to rely on substitute Wout Weghorst to grab the winner against Poland in matchday one, so I don't see them doing what is needed to top the group.

Austria limited France in their opening defeat, but did also cause Les Bleus problems. They then found their rhythm against Poland and now I think they have what it takes to beat the Netherlands to book their place in the last 16.

I am expecting a competitive match, perhaps with goals at both ends, but one I do think Das Team can emerge from victorious. They have momentum and confidence heading into this game, and I think the Oranje could be in for a shock.

Euro 2024 Odds

Cody Gakpo and Christoph Baumgartner 1+ shots on target

Two attackers I am expecting to be very busy in this clash are the Netherlands' Cody Gakpo and Austria's Christoph Baumgartner. Both have been the brightest sparks for their nations at Euro 2024 so far, and they will be key for their teams here as they look to progress to the knockout stage.

Gakpo has played a starring role in attack for Ronald Koeman's side and he has been letting shots fly in his first two tournament outings. He has registered five attempts and three of them have been on target, and one of them has produced a goal.

He has had much more of an impact than the Netherlands' main striker, Memphis Depay, who has been very underwhelming so far. Gakpo's skill and directness with the ball at his feet should cause concern for the Austrian defenders, and I think he can have at least one shot on target in this contest.

Austria attacker Baumgartner has had a similar record at this tournament so far, too. He has a goal to his name and he has registered three shots on goal across the first two matches, and all hit the target.

He has arguably been Das Team's most threatening player at the Euros and he will once again play a key role for Ralf Rangnick's side in this crunch fixture. The midfielder always gets himself into dangerous positions with or without the ball, so he is never short of goalscoring opportunities.

With pace and precision, the Netherlands' defence can be unlocked, and I believe he has the quality to do that.

Konrad Laimer and Denzel Dumfries 1+ fouls each

I am expecting a frantic battle between these two teams given what is at stake, so I think we will see a lot of challenges fly in Berlin. I always like to look at player fouls when it comes to bet builders because they are not the most difficult to call, due to there being quite a lot in a match usually.

For this game I have picked out two usual suspects to commit at least one foul and they are Austria's Konrad Laimer and the Netherlands' Denze Dumfries. Laimer is a combative midfielder who has been playing in a slightly higher role for his national team than we have tended to see him in his club career.

It hasn't stopped him from doing his defensive work and putting challenges in, but of course not all of them have been perfect. The midfielder has been penalised four times already in two matches, and I think he is a sensible person to back to commit a foul on this occasion. He does need to be careful as he is one booking away from suspension but I can see him getting away with at least one in this match.

Dumfries on the other hand, is in a much more comfortable position. Despite having committed six fouls already, the Dutch right-back has managed to escape a yellow card. This is of course good from a betting perspective as it means he is more likely to take risks when attempting to win the ball.
