Monza take on AC Milan in Serie A on Saturday (19:45) looking to secure just their second victory of the season. The home side are yet to win on home soil and they will be hoping to capitalise on the visitors' defeat to Napoli in midweek.

Milan's defeat to Napoli came on home soil, but after winning three of their last five in Serie A, they will be hoping to bounce back against one of the division's strugglers. Read on for my Monza vs AC Milan prediction, accompanied by match odds and team news.

Monza vs AC Milan Betting Tips

  • AC Milan and both teams to score @ 23/10
  • Christian Pulisic anytime goalscorer @ 2/1

Monza vs AC Milan Odds

Monza are 4/1, or a 20% chance, to take the three points here. AC Milan are valued at 7/10 to win this clash, giving them an implied probability of 58.8%. The draw can be backed at 11/4 (26.7%).

Both teams to score is on offer at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is marketed at the same odds.

Milan winger Christian Pulisic has bagged five goals in Serie A this term, and he is 6/1 to open the scoring, or 2/1 to score anytime.

Monza's Dany Mota has four for himself, and he is 16/5 to find the back of the net at any stage during this fixture.

Team News

The hosts are going to be without the services of Samuele Birindelli, Alessio Cragno and Stefano Sensi due to injury, although they have been boosted by the return of Warren Bondo from suspension.

In the defeat to Atalanta in the week, Mirko Maric was given a rare start up front and was unable to make the most of his opportunity. So we will likely see the experienced Milan Djuric come in to lead the line against the Rossoneri.

Milan boss Paulo Fonseca will be able to add Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders to the starting XI on Saturday after both were out through suspension on Tuesday, so Filippo Terracciano and Yunus Musah should make way for their return.

Alvaro Morata should continue to lead the line for the visitors with Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic appearing to be short of fitness. Rafael Leao will be pushing to start on the wing, while Pulisic should occupy the other.

Ismael Bennacer and Alessandro Florenzi remain in the treatment room for Milan and both are not expected back until 2025.

AC Milan and both teams to score @ 23/10

I wasn't surprised to see AC Milan lose to league leaders Napoli the other night, but I wasn't expecting it to be so comfortable for Antonio Conte's side. Milan have been steadily improving in recent weeks but they are still experiencing the odd defeat, which they cannot afford to happen against strugglers Monza.

Milan have work to do if they wish to be crowned Serie A champions this year and these are the types of matches that they simply have to win. I'm backing them to do just that here because with the quality in attack from Morata, Leao and Pulisic, they should have too much for the hosts to handle.

They need to start showing more of their strength on the road as they have only won one away match this season, and it doesn't really count as it came at San Siro against bitter rivals Inter Milan.

This provides them an excellent opportunity to source their first true away victory of the campaign, which should help them in their travels for the rest of the year. I think backing both teams to score is a smart addition to this selection, though, because Monza have been on the scoresheet in each of their last four Serie A clashes at Stadio Brianteo.

Christian Pulisic anytime goalscorer @ 2/1

As Milan's leading marksman in the league, American winger Pulisic has been enjoying an excellent start to the campaign, and I think it can continue at struggling Monza, with his side needing to take more points away from home.

Pulisic is set to have overcome a recent illness to feature here on Saturday, and I fancy him to bounce back with a bang. The wide man has gone two league games without a goal for the first time in 2024/25, and before that he found the back of the net in four consecutive matches.

Should he start at Monza, he will be itching to add to his tally, especially as he will be coming up against a team full of players who are suffering from a severe lack of confidence at this moment in time. I'm backing him to get back amongst the goals and bag his sixth of the season.
