Millwall vs Wrexham Prediction: Goals expected at the Den

Millwall have picked up two impressive away victories in the Championship already this season, but they will want to get up and running in front of their own fans as they host Wrexham on Saturday (15:00).
Wrexham’s games have been full of goals, but they are still waiting for their first Championship win of the campaign. Below you can find my Millwall vs Wrexham predictions featuring team news and more.

Team News
Millwall are trying to keep hold of star striker Mihailo Ivanovic as the Serbian has had Serie A interest this summer. He should be involved this weekend barring any late movement, and he should continue his partnership with Josh Coburn up top, even though the rotated players did well to beat Coventry City 2-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
Japhet Tanganga has departed for Sheffield United so Jake Cooper and Tristan Crama will continue their centre-back partnership, having kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 win at Bramall Lane last weekend. Luke Cundle got the winner and should keep his place in Alex Neil’s 4-4-2, as the Lions look to make it three wins from four before the international break.
Millwall vs Wrexham Stats
- All five of Wrexham's matches in 2025/26 have seen over 2.5 goals
- Kieffer Moore has scored three goals in four games
Meanwhile, Wrexham’s summer spending spree is now in its final days, and it looks as though Callum Doyle should hold down the starting spot on the left of the back three, having started there in the Carabao Cup win over Preston.
Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead should resume their strike partnership although Ryan Hardie bagged in midweek, with manager Phil Parkinson trying to spin plenty of plates in the final third in terms of keeping players happy. Lewis O’Brien and James McLean will come back into the midfield in Parkinson’s combative 3-5-2.
Millwall are the 1/1 favourites to win this game giving them an implied win probability of 50% at the Den. Meanwhile, a draw is 12.5 while a Wrexham win is 11/4, as the Welsh side come into this game as clear underdogs.
Over 2.5 goals has been a success in every Wrexham game this season and is 11/10, while BTTS is 10/11 and Ivanovic is the favourite to score first at 9/2.
Millwall to win and BTTS @ 16/5
This is a big price isn’t it? There’s a lot of attacking talent on the pitch from both sides and what we’ve seen from Wrexham in all competitions this season is concerning defensively, but impressive from an attacking perspective. Wrexham’s results read 2-1 (L), 3-3 (D), 2-3 (L), 2-2 (D), 2-3 (W), across the league and the Carabao Cup.
That means they have scored 11 goals in five matches and conceded 12 - making their games full of goalmouth action. Parkinson’s back three doesn’t look that solid but with Moore and Broadhead up top, they are always going to provide a goal threat. Away at the Den, I think they will score again, but I do think the Lions will prove to be too strong.
We haven’t seen Millwall flex their attacking muscles yet this season, although they did secure a 2-1 win at Norwich, but once their front two start firing, they should be flying. I like Neil a lot, and think he should be able to find a way to beat Wrexham on home soil.

Bet Builder - Mihailo Ivanovic and Kieffer Moore to score @ 13/2
I think this game will be full of goals, and I think we have two really efficient Championship strikers on show on Saturday. Ivanovic doesn’t seem to be kicking up a fuss despite a reported £6m bid from Parma, and it does feel like that is undervaluing a striker who I’ve been so impressed by over the last 12 months.
He should be able to find the net against a dodgy Wrexham backline that has conceded an average xG of 2.31 per 90 this season. Meanwhile Moore has scored three goals in four games for Wrexham since making the move this summer, and is so consistent in the Championship. I think this Bet Builder offers good value.
