After last weekend’s derby win over rivals Inter, Milan host Lecce, who already find themselves in a relegation fight after a slow start, at San Siro on Friday evening (19:45 KO, live on TNT Sports 2).
Read on for my Milan vs Lecce predictions, including the latest team news and match odds.
Milan vs Lecce Predictions
The Rossoneri are as short as 4/11 to take all three points on Friday evening, with the draw priced at 4/1 and an away win available at 7/1.
England striker Abraham can be backed at 4/1 to open the scoring, while Morata is 6/5 to find the net at anytime.
Team News
Milan should stick with the side which beat Inter last weekend, with Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham having started together up front in that victory.
The Rossoneri will be without Marco Sportiello, Ismael Bennacer and Alessandro Florenzi for this clash.
Lecce rotated for their midweek cup loss to Sassuolo, but they should bring back their key names for this trip. Frederic Guilbert is missing after being sent off last weekend.
AC Milan to win & both teams to score @ 9/5
While Milan laid down a marker against their local rivals last weekend, familiar issues continued. They’ve now conceded in five of their first six games this season, shipping two or more on four occasions.
Fonseca remains under scrutiny just months into the job. This weekend offers him a chance to get another win on the board, before a difficult visit to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League in midweek.
Their clash with the German champions could take precedence for the Rossoneri, but Lecce still shouldn’t pose much of a threat.
The visitors were beaten 2-0 by Serie B side Sassuolo in the cup in midweek, meaning they’ve won one of their last six matches.
Milan’s defensive issues could haunt them again, having leaked 1.4 goals per game in Serie A this term. However, they’ve won five of their last six home meetings with Lecce, so the Rossoneri should still earn all three points.
Lecce did draw 2-2 with Parma last weekend and with Milan looking shaky at the back, take them to win and concede at 9/5.

Christian Pulisic to score first @ 11/2
Christian Pulisic continues to make a name for himself in Italy after his move from Chelsea last year.
The winger had a solid first season in Italy, scoring 12 times and assisting eight times. However, he’s stepped up his form in the last couple of weeks and he’s a player to get behind in this clash.
Pulisic has four goals and two assists across his last five games for Milan, scoring in each of his last three appearances.
The winger has opened the scoring in consecutive games against Liverpool and Inter, while he’s playing for a Milan side who have been making strong starts of late.
The Rossoneri have opened the scoring in each of their last four matches, so take Pulisic at 11/2 to get the first goal.
