Manchester United will begin the post-Erik ten Hag era on Wednesday night, as they welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford for a fourth-round Carabao Cup tie on Wednesday night (19:45, live on Sky Sports +).

Ruud van Nistelrooy remains in charge on an interim basis, and he will be hoping the Red Devils can bounce back from a disappointing defeat at the weekend to West Ham United. Antony remains on the treatment table for the hosts after spraining his ankle against Fenerbahce last week, while the Red Devils are light on options at centre-back due to the absences of duo Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro.

Luke Shaw is yet to feature this season for United due to a calf injury, and Noussair Mazraoui is a doubt for Wednesday night's clash because of a knee problem.

As for the visitors, Patson Daka remains sidelined with an ankle issue, while Hamza Choudhury is not expected to play a part for the Foxes until early December, after dislocating his shoulder earlier this month.

Five of United's last eight matches have ended in underwhelming draws, while the Foxes have shown plenty of spirit on the road - they came back from two goals down to claim a 3-2 win at Southampton and they were sunk by two injury-time goals at Arsenal after battling their way back from a similar position to draw level.

The veteran striker has scored four times already this season, so is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
