Manchester United vs Leicester City Prediction: United to end Ruud’s reign on a high

Manchester United will be aiming to end Ruud van Nistelrooy's interim period in charge on a high note, when they welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford for the second time in 10 days on Sunday afternoon (14:00).
Van Nistelrooy has enjoyed an unbeaten spell since taking the reins, with victories over the Foxes (Carabao Cup) and PAOK (Europa League) coming either side of a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the league. Meanwhile, Leicester are on a winless run of three games across all competitions and will be hoping to snap that streak here. Read on for my Manchester United vs Leicester City prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Amad Diallo strengthened his case to start on Sunday with a superb individual performance against PAOK on Thursday night, scoring twice in the second-half. While he was forced off with a foot issue late on, the Ivorian appears to be in contention for the weekend.
Mason Mount also came on as a second-half substitute on Thursday having recovered from his most recent setback but United remain without a host of other players.
Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire remain sidelined, while Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are yet to return to first-team training.
As for the Foxes, Jamie Vardy will likely lead the line again despite Jordan Ayew's late heroics against Ipswich Town last time out, while Hamza Choudhury, Patson Daka and Jakub Stolarczyk will miss out here.

United are 4/11 favourites to win the game, giving them an implied win probability of 73.3%, with the draw currently priced up at 5/1, and the Leicester win can be backed at 13/2.
Rasmus Hojlund leads the anytime goalscorer market at 13/10, while Vardy is shortest-priced for the visitors at 11/4.
Manchester United to win and both teams to score - yes @ 6/4
As mentioned above, Van Nistelrooy has enjoyed an unbeaten tenure in charge, and he'll be soon be handing over the reins to Ruben Amorim.
The Dutchman began life as caretaker boss with a 5-2 thumping of Leicester at Old Trafford in the last-16 stage of the Carabao Cup, which should give them confidence heading into the weekend.
However, the visitors will battle hard and while they arrive on a run of three games without a victory, they've had no issue finding the back of the net with seven goals scored in their last four contests. In fact, nine of their 14 league goals this season have come away from home.
United should have too much for Leicester again, but the Foxes can play their part in another entertaining affair.

Bet Builder - Bruno Fernandes 1+ assist @ 9/5
Fernandes had failed to open his account under Erik ten Hag, but the United skipper has upped his level since the Dutchman's departure.
The Portugal international has looked like a man on a mission in recent weeks and he notched twice in the aforementioned cup tie with Leicester, before netting in the draw with Chelsea.
The 30-year-old didn't find the back of the net in Thursday's win over PAOK, but he did register his first Europa League assist of the campaign for Amad Diallo's first goal.
Fernandes has four goals and the same amount of assists from nine meetings against the Foxes, so he should get plenty of opportunities to add to that tally on Sunday.
