Manchester City will be looking to quickly pick themselves up following a 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, when they entertain Feyenoord in the Champions League on Tuesday night (20:00, live on Prime Video).

Pep Guardiola's side will be seeking to avoid a sixth-straight defeat across all competitions when they lock horns with their Dutch opponents, who currently sit fourth in the Eredivisie. Read on for my Manchester City vs Feyenoord bet builder tips ahead of Tuesday's tie.

Man City to win

Pep Guardiola's contract extension wasn't enough to snap City out of their miserable winless run at the weekend, with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Spurs sparking more concern for the defending Premier League champions.

City have now lost five on the spin with their latest defeat being the most alarming of the lot, and it was their first home loss since the eve of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

However, Guardiola's side are expected to get back on track in midweek, as reflected in their 1/5 price to win the game. Tuesday's game represents the perfect opportunity for City to pull themselves out of their rut, as they won both encounters with the Rotterdam outfit back in the 2017/18 group stages of this competition.

City ran riot in a 4-0 win at De Kuip, before edging out Feyenoord 1-0 at the Etihad - I'm sure a repeat of the latter would be a welcomed scoreline on Tuesday night.

Josko Gvardiol to score anytime

To boost the odds of this bet builder, I've opted for some City inspiration to come from an unlikely source.

Gvardiol has a habit of scoring important goals for Guardiola's side, netting the opener in City's away trips at Wolves, Bournemouth and Newcastle United already this term, and he's a decent price to come up with another crucial strike on Tuesday.

The centre-back will be eager to forget his performance against Spurs, and the 22-year-old poses a threat from long range or through set pieces.

Over 3.5 goals

Regardless of the outcome at the Etihad on Tuesday night, I'm expecting goals, goals and more goals.

Feyenoord have conceded 10 times through their first four European games, while City have only kept three clean sheets across their last 13 outings in all competitions.

The four goals City conceded at the weekend took their goals-against tally during their losing streak to 14 and look increasingly vulnerable to the counter attack - a dangerous trait against a high-energy side in Feyenoord.

The Rotterdammers know where the back of the net is - they've scored 31 goals in 13 league games this term, and their European outings have yielded a 4-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, 3-2 and 3-1 victories against Girona and Benfica, as well as a 3-1 loss to Red Bull Salzburg.

City's defensive issues are well-documented, and there seems to be no reason as to why the high-scoring won't continue here.
