Manchester United welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford on Sunday (16:30, live on Sky Sports Main Event) as both teams are looking to kickstart their campaigns.

Erik ten Hag's side have won just two of their opening five games, while Spurs are yet to taste victory on the road. Read on for my Man United vs Tottenham prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund both featured off the bench for United in the 1-1 draw with FC Twente on Wednesday night, giving Ten Hag further options when naming his starting XI for Sunday's clash.

Alejandro Garnacho was given the nod in that game, meaning that Marcus Rashford could return to the fold here, but the Red Devils remain without the services of Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia.

As for Spurs, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert remain sidelined, while Dominic Solanke, Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson are all expected to start, after being subbed off early in Thursday's win over Qarabag.

Cristian Romero will come back into the starting XI after serving a suspension in midweek, as should James Maddison, who was an unused substitute in the aforementioned Europa League triumph.

United are slight favourites for Sunday's encounter at 11/8, giving them an implied win probability of 42.1%. Spurs are 15/8 to pick up their first away win of the Premier League campaign, meanwhile the draw is currently priced up at 11/4.

Both teams to score is 4/11, while Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both lead the anytime scorer market at 8/5, followed by Dominic Solanke at 13/8, while Bruno Fernandes and Son are both 15/8.

Draw and both teams to score - yes @ 3/1

It's a familiar feeling of one step forward, two steps back for Ten Hag and this United side. After a couple of decent results against Southampton and Barnsley, United could only manage a draw in the Europa League against FC Twente in midweek, off the back of a goalless stalemate with Crystal Palace last weekend.

Spurs, meanwhile, after a slow start to the new campaign have won their last three, beating Coventry in the Carabao Cup before enjoying wins over Brentford in the league and Qarabag in the Europa League.

United have the third highest xG in the Premier League this season (9.6) but have just five goals to show for it, while Spurs are in urgent need of a result against someone half-decent having lost their last seven ‘big eight’ fixtures in the Premier League.

In addition, Spurs are yet to win away from home this season, and they've also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three league outings.

With both teams being inconsistent up until this point, I think backing the draw is the way to go, as well as both teams to score as neither side fill me with confidence at the back.

The both teams to score market has landed in three of the last five meetings between these two, with last season’s fixture at Old Trafford resulting in a 2-2 draw.

Dominic Solanke to score anytime @ 13/8

Spurs' £65m summer signing will feel relieved after scoring his first goal for the club in the 3-1 victory against Brentford last week.

It's always the same for any new striker - they just want to get off the mark, and he's done that now.

The former Bournemouth marksman followed that effort up by netting again in Thursday night's win over Qarabag in the Europa League, and I think he'll arrive at Old Trafford full of confidence.
