Manchester United welcome Bayern Munich to Old Trafford in the Champions League on Tuesday (20:00), with the Red Devils on the cusp of crashing out of Europe's most prestigious competition.

United simply have to win if they wish to continue their European journey but it isn't completely in their hands, as they are also dependent on Copenhagen and Galatasaray playing out a draw. A lot is against Erik ten Hag's team heading into this one.

We preview this clash by picking out a couple of the best markets on offer.

Man United vs Bayern Munich Betting Tips

  • Bayern Munich and both teams to score - 13/5
  • Harry Kane to score anytime - 21/20

Match Odds

Manchester United are valued at 6/4 to beat the German giants on Tuesday. A draw can be backed at 13/5, while Bayern are priced at 13/10.

Both teams to score in this one can be found at 4/9. Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 1/2.

Team News

The hosts are going to be without Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Amad Diallo. Mason Mount, Victor Lindelof and Jadon Sancho are all doubtful to feature.

Serge Gnabry, Matthijs de Ligt, Bouna Sarr, Gabriel Marusic and Tarek Buchmann are all sidelined for Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich and both teams to score @ 13/5

United were left stunned over the weekend as they were comfortably beaten 3-0 by AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford in what was a poor but unsurprising performance from the Red Devils. Despite beating Chelsea in the week, the Red Devils once again took three steps back with the way they played against the Cherries.

They were not the only team to have a bitterly disappointing weekend. Bayern were also stumped as they were thrashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in what was their first Bundesliga defeat of the season. Bayern, however, did win the reverse fixture in Munich 4-3, so it feels like both teams to score here should land.

Bayern certainly possess a much stronger squad than their English counterparts and should have more than enough to put the weekend behind them and deliver an instant response at Old Trafford. United have been involved in a few high-scoring affairs in Europe this season and we could be in for another one here on Tuesday night.

Harry Kane to score anytime @ 21/20

When it was becoming clearer that Harry Kane would leave Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, Manchester United were once again thought to be in the conversation. He was certainly a forward that the Red Devils could've greatly benefitted from, but when Bayern Munich came calling, who would offer him great chances for silverware, there was never going to be a contest.

Kane has been scoring for fun in Germany with 22 goals already this term across all competitions and he both scored and assisted against United in the seven-goal thriller played earlier in the season.

Against a United defence that is defensively vulnerable and a goalkeeper that is prone to mistakes, Kane seems like a very good selection to get on the scoresheet on Tuesday.
