The early Premier League kick-off on Saturday lunchtime comes from the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City host Everton.

Their determined quest for a sixth title in seven seasons is going from strength to strength, and a tenth win on the bounce in all competitions will take them top of the Premier League, ahead of Liverpool vs Burnley.

Below we’ve previewed this clash, and come up with a couple of betting selections.

Man City vs Everton Tips

  • Over 2.5 Man City goals @ 4/5
  • Kevin De Bruyne to score anytime @ 11/4

Team News

It feels like Pep Guardiola’s machine is grinding into top gear. After a troublesome winter, star men Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland are now fit. The two key cogs that can fire City to the title are back and they don’t have any other injury issues. It’s simply remarkable how every season this seems to happen.

For Everton, Abdoulaye Doucoure is back on grass but unlikely to return for this one. Meanwhile Arnaut Danjuma is also out, Amadou Onana is touch and go and Ben Godfrey’s cramp issue should have cleared up by the time the weekend comes around.

Match Odds

Manchester City are the heavy favourites for this one, priced at 1/5 to take all three points. A draw can be backed at 6/1, Everton are 12/1, BTTS is 10/11 and over 2.5 goals is 2/5.

Over 2.5 Man City goals @ 4/5

Clearly, Man City are the dominant force in the Premier League at this moment in time. They are targeting ten wins in a row in all competitions and have looked so good over the last two months. Worryingly, they are seemingly only going to get better. With Haaland back in the team and Phil Foden on top form, they should be able to tear apart an Everton outfit trying to fight their way out of danger.

They rescued a point against Spurs last time out, but away at the champions I just can’t see them getting anything. The price of 4/5 for Man City to score three or more on home soil is reasonable and given they’ve scored three in their last three league outings, I believe they have all the resources to do the same again against Everton.

Kevin De Bruyne to score anytime @ 11/4

The odds on Erling Haaland to score anytime are miniscule, and the odds on Phil Foden to find the net aren’t that much longer after his hat-trick at Brentford on Monday night. We will steer clear of both of those picks and instead plump for KDB, a man who has instantly improved City over the past few weeks.

He’s still getting up to top speed but has been instrumental in their attacking phases of play in the last three matches. He scored off the bench in his return against Newcastle, and although he hasn’t found the net, that can work in our favour here. He is still getting into decent attacking positions and the price of 11/4 on him to find the net against Everton is as good as we are going to get if we believe Man City will win this match comfortably.
