Luton Town and Manchester City will lock horns at Kenilworth Road on Sunday afternoon (14:00), with both sides looking to bounce back from defeats in midweek.

The Hatters were on the losing side of a seven-goal thriller with Arsenal, while City were beaten 1-0 away at Villa Park.

Luton vs Man City Prediction

  • Man City to win and both teams to score @ 7/4
  • Julian Alvarez to score anytime @ 11/10

Team News

Tom Lockyer, Cauley Woodrow and Marvelous Nakamba look set to miss the visit of the champions, while Mads Andersen, Reece Burke and Dan Potts are also out for the Hatters.

As for City, they will welcome both Rodri and Jack Grealish back from suspension for the trip to Luton but Kevin De Bruyne remains a long-term absentee.

Match Odds

Luton are 16/1 to inflict defeat upon City, while the champions are 1/7 to get back to winning ways and the draw is 7/1.

Both teams to score is 11/10, while over 2.5 goals can be backed at 4/11.

Man City to win and both teams to score @ 7/4

City have suffered a string of indifferent results in recent weeks, and after Luton's heroic effort against Arsenal in midweek, this could be another potential banana skin for Pep Guardiola's side.

However, I think the return of Rodri is a huge boost for City, and that's why I believe they can get back in the win column on Sunday.

Luton will pose a threat no doubt, after brilliant performances against Liverpool and Arsenal, and Guardiola's men have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine outings so the Hatters can get on the scoresheet here.

Julian Alvarez to score anytime @ 11/10

Julian Alvarez has had 37 shots on goal in the Premier League this season, for which four goals seems only a modest return.

However, he can net for the first time in the league since last month’s 4-4 draw at Chelsea, and 11/10 is a decent price.

With Erling Haaland having a couple of frustrating outings against Spurs and Aston Villa, this could be the perfect game for the Argentinian to step up.
